Not dissimilar to the Tree Audio 500 series console. The Purple Audio one. and a couple of others I forget the maker. The generally don't last long, everyone says they want one, but no one actually buys them. Maybe this one will be different.
An interesting concept for 500 series module users. A mixer built around a set of 500 series lunchboxes. The mixer is a simple stereo summing mixer with 4 additional analog aux mixes. The lunchboxes are arranged one slot per channel by default. But I suspect you can link several 500 slots in a chain for a single channel. This console is a user friendly way to integrate an analog summing mixer with 500 series modules as the analog side of a DAW.
@@gimmigimmigimmi The Box 2 is 8 channels only and one 500 slot per channel is all you get and it's close to $16,000. Sure it's an API, but THIS LOOPTROTTER mixer lets you design your perfect mixer with SSL, API, NEVE or all of their channel 500 gear. The API 1608 is around $60,000.
What about the master section. what does it sound like, whats it sound like when driven hard, how much head room? Still can't find any info on line addressing these points. So yeah it looks cool but what does it sound like? You should be able to tell running a mix into 16 channels with no 500 mods on it but nothing to be heard on line?
