Thanks for sharing this video! Ever since you talked about this at KA-Con, it's been on my list of things to learn, and now with a tiny mom and seven kittens on the way I might need it!
Excellent video, one thing that I was taught that I didn't see is that you kink the tube before you pull it out, therefore no milk leaves the tube and goes into the lung ❤
Wow. I didn't realize the tube had to go all the way into the tummy! I know, what the heck else ya gonna do? LOL My Zoey was not ready for motherhood, and before I knew it, we lost all but one baby. Loki couldn't figure out how to latch on, and the bottle didn't meet with success, either. An eyedropper worked for us, thank goodness. I don't do babies. All my kids (kitties) are spayed/neutered when adopted. In 52 years of kitties, only 2 have gotten pregnant. We (roommates and I) are foster failures, which is the main reason we adopt and spay/neuter. If we didn't, we would have kitties to the roof beam! Of the nine we currently have, all but two are rescues, and those two were born into the house. Tube feeding is something, I feel, that all cat people should know how to do, as... well, accidents (pregnancies) happen. Also, you never know when a particular skill may come in useful. Thank You for this!! ✌💖😺😺 p.s. Mr. A of Kitten Academy suggested this video
I am a neonatal kitten rescue, and I have not seen anything like that, that being said, when your tube feeding a kitten this small, it is a last resort, they will die without it
