Thanks NI for this higlhy valuable content. As he shows, freezing midi tracks and putting them into audio is a big part of his workflow, and I think that's a big thing Maschine is missing. I know it's possible to freeze tracks but since we can't go back to midi like Ableton does, it's stressful. I hope NI is considering updating this functionality if they consider making it a full DAW.

0:48 tbh I wouldn't really recommend massive for someone new to synths in 2020, there are better options out there now like Serum or my personal favorite Arturia Pigments. These synths have a lot of visual feedback which is super helpful for learning what the different parameters do. (I
@Albertmars32
@Albertmars32 3 года назад
the fact that is simple is why he uses it, didnt he say that he likes to keep things simple when it comes to sound design? serum is fine for anything but it shines with weird ass sound you hear in EDM like dubstep. plus massive has a warmer more analog sound to it than serum
@Taurex
@Taurex 3 года назад
@@Albertmars32 I’m talking about people who are beginners and want to learn. For them there are better options out there than Massive, I know because Massive was my first synth and I had no idea what I was looking at. I’m not saying no one should use it, in fact I still use it myself sometimes.
@Taurex
@Taurex 3 года назад
@the missing link I was actually considering buying that one since it’s now on sale on NI’s website, but I figured I probably have enough synths already haha
@noname-ng6sj
@noname-ng6sj 3 года назад
Serum and Pigments are awful beginner ones. Their blatant limitations and UI is bad for beginners. Definitely Massive over both, says I, who last opened massive in 2013 and use Pigments/Serum daily.
@Taurex
@Taurex 3 года назад
@@noname-ng6sj Well I definitely disagree with that, but I'm curious to hear why you think that. IMO Pigments has one of the best UI's of any synths and is perfect for a beginner, and the animated visual feedback on everything is super helpful for anyone but especially people who are learning. Not sure what blatant limitations you're talking about, wanna elaborate a little?
