There's a railroad promotional film shot in 1949 that shows a Speno ballast cleaner very similar to the LORAM one. They describe it as "Something Buck Rogers cooked up in the 25th Century!" They weren't kidding! This thing looks like it came out of a Sci-Fi movie!
