In this video we're attending a Booster Draft Tournament held by LGS Sully's Abode! We go through the draft phase of the tournament and I highlight some of my thoughts during each of my picks!

I have never encountered such a pleasant to watch video of a live draft before (magic the gathering). I love how we can really understand every pick and the reasons behind it. The editing of all the cards in the pack is for sure chef’s kiss. When I draft I always struggle to remember what I have already. What my curve is, how much removal and stuff. Any tips for that? You pile them separately or write stuff down? You often look?

Thank you very much! But yes, what you're not seeing is me editing out all the looking at everything I've already drafted haha. There was a lot of blank space while I waited to be passed the next set of cards so I was ordering my cards by cost and separated actions from characters like you see at 17:00! So whenever I was curious it was easy to count how many 2 drops I had for example, or how many action removals. Thanks again!!

So did the guy who pulled the enchanted card get to pick first and keep it? Or did someone else end up with it after it was opened?

Since it was his first pack he got first pick and kept it, he didn't play with it though for obviously reasons haha :)

@@xratedsuperstar1987 Nice! While you're drafting just keep your curve in mind, most people forget and draft too many big guys but keeping solid tempo is most important! Also you only have 40 cards so play a lot less uninkables! The sweet spot I think is 6-8 uninkable if you can muster it. Best of luck!

@@xratedsuperstar1987 I would say just look for value cards. Like high statted cards that you are usually worried about getting removed in constructed aren't as vulnerable in draft. Cards like Cinderella and Cheshire Cat Floodborn will be really strong. Also of course any good removal will be highly valuable as well

I’m excited to draft but I also have the issue of wanting to grab shiny cards over cards that improve my draft deck.

You and me both 😂 I think as long as you toe the line of shiny and valid picks and make compromises here and there the deck should still be viable haha

@@zerotheherolorcana In draft you have an extra 6 spots for shiny cards right? Leaves no room for bad draws but it is doable.

@@zerotheherolorcana Right, 8 extra makes more sense, if only I knew how to do math. lol still, it feels like it will be a while before I’ll be able to actually draft, the LGS I play at had their extra Lorcana boxes stolen so if that had been in the works it’s gone now.
