I think Rabbit’s fine. Great card obviously, but Ruby/Amethyst is looking so-so right now. Ame/Steel and Ame/Emerald are niche picks. Let’s not pretend we’re still in set 2.
I disagree at a big degree with this list. Mostly regarding the draw effect cards from Amethyst. This is the identity of this colour. You cannot take it away. Same for sudden chill and greens. You mentioned some songs that are borderline OP based on your assessment but you consider that Ursula that plays these songs twice is ok to stay in limited? It doesnt really add up. What I know for sure is that Diablo currently seems to be the most broken cards in the game. IMO Ursula, Robin and Diablo are the 3 most broken cards. You dont need any card combination to get value out of them and that's too much.
Nice list, I mostly agree, but I would ban Diablo. Cards that can get in play on the first turn and need a specified removal, just should not exist. On the other hand cards like Merlin rabbit are not OP on their own. Very good utility card, but not inkable, not sure if it is that much of a problem, I would put it a tier or two lower.
I fully agree. I first of all don't think any or only a handful cards should be banned. The game is perfectly balanced. There are so many challenging deck options in the meta right now and I doubt only one is ruling them all. In other words the game is perfectly balanced right now. I hope they don't overreact
lets ban bucky and rabbit but not Medusa who dont let you play expensive characters with less than 4 power. that list makes no sense. suden chill is useless card without ursula. be prepered, uninkable card for 7 who can be discarded by some cards...
Zero reason for any card currently to be banned. Maybe in the future, but I don’t see it until closer to two years minimum. I don’t expect any cards to be banned or limited/restricted in 2024. Also Bucky and Merlin Rabbit as the top 2 to be banned is comical.
Disagree, bucky discard a card every time you play one since turn 3, and is impossibile to remove ecxept for be prepared or grab your swords, that can't be played in curve are non inkable and can be discarded by ursula, so it will take out at least 2/3 cards. The only card that get rid of him is pick a fight wich is super situational.
This list isn't set up very well. Sometimes cards are looked at in a vacuum, some in a specific deck. If this list were to be true, ruby amethyst would turn into an unplayable deck. No ban list. Limited list should hit the ground running ASAP though
@@nicolaeentertainment8280 by making my deck un playable? Hardly I simply said a ban list makes sense given the info we have and go over hypothetical s
So an entire theme should be outed because of one moderately strong card? How is Hiram any different than another character just singing friends? Which you could do turn 2 as opposed to Hiram on 4.
We should either ban them completely or not at all. We really shouldn’t pussyfoot around it. I still believe we shouldn’t ban any cards. If anyone really does want to, I bet it’s because they go against that specific color and lose each time but that’s their problem. I lost to be prepared all the time. There are times where all I lose to is a location. Do I want them banned? No. What I do is I play better… oh my opponent is playing Blue red. Okay I’m gonna hold my cards till turn 7 when he/she be prepares and then put down all my characters. Easy win. Happens all the time. Y’all just need to get good and stop blaming cards for your lack of strategy in a STRATEGY CARD GAME
Bucky needs to go. Green/Steel has 0 counters right now. If the opponent starts and goes for Diablo > Bucky > Diablo + Aladdin, you pretty much lost. Or Robin Hood 1> bucky > robin hood 3, you're cooked as well. There's no answer to it.
2 cards you mentioned were just released so yes not yet, 2 others were set 3 which I mentioned cards within last 2 sets not being touched unless really crazy (Ursula). Quill sure could be hit but is not op just good
Nothing is getting banned for some time. Definitely not in the first year. They put it un the rules so that they don't have to update it later. Magic didn't start banning cards until it's 3rd year.
Hiram should be banned. It in no way dismantles the deck. Blue Tink should be the new Hiram. Maui absolutely deserves a ban. Hercules is the fair Maui. Rabbit doesn’t need banned. Genie is better than Rabbit people just haven’t figured it out yet. I have drawn 3 cards off him so many times more than gotten four from rabbit which costs a whopping 8 ink anyways and he hits like a wet noodle and dies quick too.
I disagree heavily with both points. Hiram *is* the deck. It is the single most important card those decks run because it is the sole engine for true card advantage and usually draws at least 4. It is a must-answer, because if it is not (and it isn't easy with 6 health) it will run away with most games. Banning Hiram will destroy any deck that currently runs that card, there is no even remotely viable replacement. That said, I think it is a card that is borderline worthy of the ban. If they do not take out Hiram, taking out both Maui and A Whole New World probably does enough to weaken Blue/Red and Blue/Steel sufficiently into fairness. And Genie is significantly worse than Rabbit. If it were not, it would see some play... well, anywhere, but it doesn't. And the biggest reason is speed. Rabbit's effect happens immediately, and will always get you at least two cards (unless the game ends.) Genie is slow. It can be killed, and its body is basically never relevant because you should never use it to trade, and never allow it to be attacked. On the other hand, Rabbit can freely attack into characters, quest, and sing Friends. It is a faster, more versatile card that both has a higher floor, higher ceiling, and more flexibility than Genie. I do think that if Rabbit were banned, decks would run Genie instead, but it would significantly hurt consistency of all decks.
@@bmillz1341 if you netdeck and thing only ba boom deals with evasive threats in a 3rd set meta decks had to contend with it. I’m not much interested in what you have to say on the matter. Good afternoon
@@Legaleagle0200 That's funny, because I *don't* netdeck. I went 4 for 5 winning Set Championships running Blue/Purple, lol. Obviously Ba-Boom is not the only answer. Steel has several, but will run Ba-Boom basically just for that card. Blue has Cruella, and that's all. Green has Kit, and a few inexpensive evasives. Yellow has nothing, and Red gets Teeth, Brawl, and basically Pegasus. Purple's best answer is probably Pan. And if you get past the Steel/Ruby part of that list you'll see that most of those answers are either slow, conditional, or mediocre.
@@bmillz1341 Amber has cards to stop it also that are in top decks. The stuff you say is best isn’t what people are using. But sure you know what you are taking about
hate how you go so deep on the phrase "business decisions", ravensburger might be new to all this but any company that decides ban lists by product selling is wrong and wont last. Look at mtg they ban current stuff all the time becuase of dominance in formats and it helps balance the game better. Ban lists should be about balance not profit. I would like both a ban list and a discussion article from ravensburger every 3-4 weeks after a set release. Diablo was the worst card ever printed so far and should be a auto ban, comes out turn 1 and starts effecting the game turn 2? how is that okay?
It shouldn't ever be a turn 1 play...and every tcg does it as business decisions...look at yugioh it's bigger than it's ever been and it is never about the game being toxic. I agree diablo will get banned but not so soon after release. Speaking on magic doing that maybe that's why past formats are so much more popular than their current
@@christophertolbert4275 doesn't do anything and is at low risk for removal. Play 1 cost diable shift turn 2 guarantees you get a +1 draw minimum and also can Discard via bucky possibly
@@TheReal_InkwellGaming ok good point . I don’t play the card cuz I’m not a tool . It’s making the new meta worse than last imo. I think you right on Bucky tho . If he’s done I don’t have a problem with Diablo
@@Legaleagle0200 Forcing players to have to play steel in order to answer a card is not a good solution. Especially if forced to play mediocre cards like Ba-Boom. There are a few other mediocre answers in other colors, but it is one of the few cards good enough to win a game nearly single-handedly if not answered, and can do so as early as turn 2. There is nothing else like that in the game. It must be planned for, and killing with a steel spell is not punishment enough, which is why there needs to be either better answers made for it, or it needs to go.
