I went there years ago before all the pews were taken out and it was open to the public. Holy water font may suggest it was Catholic. I don't think the overhead tank is an old cistern. They never had loos in a church but this may be an exception to the rule! It may just be a water tank. You really don't need the 'music'. It's amazing enough without and easier to concentrate. More interesting to hear your discussion. Thanks. I do hope it's saved and used for some purpose.
