It actually is on the DVD, but as a bonus feature instead of being included in the actual movie. Which is very unfortunate because it's such a beautiful number.
Michael Flatley put Irish dancing on the map. In "Lord of the Dance", he delivered exactly what his fans were demanding--Irish dancing, lots of it; Irish singing, lots of it; Michael Flatley dancing his ass off, lots of it. Fantastic show. And this particular act was my absolute favorite.
Michael certainly had a role in it, but it was the Eurovision 1994 performance of Riverdance followed closely by the full show that kickstarted the world's fascination with Irish dance.
This is my favorite. I have done this with kids in 4th grade in my school last year, of course much simplified, and they really enjoyed it. We performed it at School Annual presentation.
This show made Irish Dancing so popular when I was growing up, but now it's dying out. Competitive Irish dancing has become too top heavy; too many champ level and not enough beginners. We need a revitalization of this show to make Irish dance popular with young kids.
Túto pieseň by v stredoveku šľachta vyvážila zlatom a tancovala by aj slávna grófka Alžbeta Bathory..Ale dobre že už nie je stredovek 🙄 , to by som sa nemohol zabávať musel by som trpieť a ťažko pracovať 🙄💥
Talk about removing the Irish out of dancing, this is horrible. Like a bunch of fit robots. Prefer the older ones by a mile. There is a skip in their step!
