The long awaited aquarium build is here!! Loved you're editing in this one I laughed out loud every time you edited yourself into the movie clips. I always enjoy your enthusiasm you bring to your videos and your passion for the hobby. Can't wait to see more!
Best video EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your scene clips were so hilarious. Not to mention how the scape looks. As a lifelong aquarist and Tolkien fan this video had so many of my favorite things. Please keep up the amazing content!
Excellent video Taylor!! Great that you had all the LoTR film clips and even somehow managed to put yourself in there! The practice layout looks very Fanghorn like already and will be amazing when you get to the stage of putting the plants in to make it very forest-like. Looking forward to the next steps!
This looks so good, I fell in love with Tolkien since my teacher read The Hobbit in 8th grade now I have almost every book he’s ever written and his son Christopher Tolkien found and published. I read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books every year.
Possibly your best video, yet!!! I loved the clips, you did them so well! I smiled and laughed at each one😅. I love your ideas with the ghost wood for Bangor Forest!!👍
Lmao that intro was just too good. I really liked the homemade aquascape from the lord of the rings build. Really really cool work. I want a tank, but I always thought most tanks were kind of generic. Love the channel! Keep it up!
Simply Betta: "Don't let the power of sitting around thinking paralyse you into inaction." Me: Looks at 4ft paludarium sitting in carport for over 4 years. "Meh, I'll get round to it."
I'm INVESTED 😀 cannot wait to see how it turns out! I think building the practice box was definitely the way to go, there are so many beautiful places in the books, Fangorn Forest was an excellent choice
Hah! Well thank you, you would have enjoyed a bunch of the rambling I was doing that I had to cut from the video because I thought I would lose people :P
Funnily enough I actually discovered your channel via your wonderful Hobbit Hole aquascape video. Love the idea of a dark dank enchanted Ent forest aquascape. You could make it dark via the black water method. Will you be carving out Ent faces on some of your gnarlier pieces of wood? The try out box is a great idea. Can't wait to see you build the end product! 😁👍
The wood is lovely! You are certainly putting in a lot of effort trying to get it the way you want it to be - so good luck and looking forward to the next video to see the progress!! Kay
I enjoyed the Lord of the rings films, but I don't know that much about them. For me it's more about seeing what you create, I just love scaping! I've never seen ghost Wood until now, but I'll be on the lookout for my next tank, I love the texture, and I'm planning a 350l Blackwater corner tank which I think this type of wood will be perfect for! I can't wait to see how this tank progresses!
Great video TayTay! ❤🥰🐶👌🔥 I gonna be build my first salt water aquascape soon, dad just help me break the rock up just today, my tank should arrive in a couple weeks so I’ll start building the rock work between now and then 🥰🐶❤️
I love this so much, and cannot wait to see it set up and planted! You also look great with the Elf braid, I used to wear one constantly around the time the movies came out, when my hair was still as long as yours.
this video is already 100x better than Rings of power. I had seen your Bag End video in the past. I really love you doing these LotR theme betta tanks. Kudos.
So excited! Love the ghost wood, I agree, it’s got the texture and personality needed to accomplish the forest, and it definitely does! I’m a planner, sketcher, and thinker too, but the practice box is priceless, such a brain saver, reduces frustration!
Looks Great. Practice box is called a dojo in aquascape terms. And I salut you. Its look amazing. Great work. Use the golden ratio to help you put in the wood and a golden rule. Big wood infront and smaller Backwards. This gives a ilusion and depth
@@SimplyBetta thanks. I was thinking about your scape, and maybe you could do something like that reveal of Gandalf the White, and make like a beam of light hit a white anubias & some cool moss, like utricularia graminifolia.
We can ask Director, Peter Jackson, to consider you for the next Lord of the Rings installment. Then he can also do a documentary on your next Aquascape. Thanks for sharing this video with us. Your creativity is appreciated by us, not to mention, your enthusiasm. Hope all of your fish are thriving and breeding. Best of luck with all of your projects, going forward.
Look at you, gettin' all technical and stuff; I love how you look way too much like Legolas 🤣 This might be a bit out of left field, but just fyi: The way to describe a rectangle is length, width, and height; The long part of the tank is of course the length, the width is from front to back, and height is top to bottom. As far as design goes, we live next to a wooded area and because aquarium wood and rock is so freaking expensive, I just pilfer what I need from outside, though I'm jealous of people who can get nice wood. Anyway, I think it'd be sweet to have a grassy area out in front leading into Fangorn, like how Aragorn and the others would be seeing it before going in.
Haha thanks @whatismisophonia, please don't tell my old geometry teacher. I'm all for gathering materials! It takes some work to find the right rocks sometimes if you want certain colors or textures, but it's hard to beat free materials. I wish I had driftwood around me though. And thanks! I'll be putting smaller-scale plants in that off-center focal point area in the front, I hope it achieves that effect
Really awesome you decided to do a “Lord of the Rings” theme. The layout is looking awesome so far! A Dojo is definitely an awesome thing to have! Wish I had room for one…. The tank I shared with you I actually built my interpretation from a description in “The Hobbit.” A scene of the group finding the edge of the woods and seeing the mountains after the long trek through the woods.
@@SimplyBetta I’m with that 100% 🤣 I think that is Adam Paszczela’s name but I cannot be sure if it. I’m glad at least it is a Tolkien name if meant to be or not lol!
