You might be interested to know that Led Zeppelins ‘The Battle of Evermore’, ‘Ramblin' On’ (featuring references to Gollum and Mordor) and ‘Carouselambra’ were all odes to Lord of the Rings. A good reason to cover more Zep I think ;)

This video started the Twins' Legend, (in my opinion). It is like a puzzle, the Twins knew very well how to place every piece: Scenery, Costumes, Music, their beautiful Presence and the Gift of their Voice at the end. I never grow tired of watching it. GOLDEN MEMORIES X2

Of all your amazing music, I chose to loop this in the background during the last hour when the vet came to my home to help my beloved dog find his place in our treasured memories. J.R.R. Tolkien would be delighted, could he hear your harp medley of songs from "Lord of the Rings". Being a big LOTR fan (almost as big as yourselves), I can't even count how often I have listened to these songs. 👍👍 And the harp is an instrument completely fitting for Middle Earth, since practically every Free Folk played it... every Elven tribe from the Vanyar in Valinor to the Mirkwood Elves. The Rohirrim did play it, as did the people of Gondor (the famous harpers of Dol Amroth). You wouldn't think of it, but even the stout Dwarves were big harp fans; Durin's Folk in Erebor made "many golden harps strung with silver" whose strings went never out of tune. Thorin Oakenshield himself played one of these. If I should meet some Dwarves, I'll ask them if they would send two of those your way. 😉 Thanks so much for all the great music you gift us with, your talent and skill are limitless. 😊💙💜

I think the harps are perfect for this theme as are the costumes! I've loved The Lord of the Rings since college--I used to read the entire trilogy through every summer! I wore out my original paperbacks and invested in hardbacks. This will be the perfect background music for my next reading of them!👌😊

Sam : That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.

How do you find such beautiful landscapes to play in? They really go well with the two of you. I really like landscapes you can take a picture of, and I haven't really noticed many other comments commenting on the landscape. Most of them are about the beauty of you and/or the music, which do deserve to be complimented, but so does your choice of landscape.

I still can't watch the Lord of the Rings movies without crying at two scenes, I have to confess: - One: The scene that Peter Jackson totally made up but is just soo great: At the wedding of Arwen and Aragorn on the highest level of Minas Tirith, when the four hobbits bow before the new King & Queen of Arnor and Gondor, and Aragorn stops them and says: "My Friends, you bow to no one." And then the whole gathered crowd bows before the hobbits. - Two: The scene at the Grey Havens when Sam, Pippin and Merry say their final goodbye to Frodo and Gandalf. " Gandalf: "I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil."

We arrange the music, find/scout the video locations, find or make our costumes, film with a small hand-held video camera on a tripod - No videographer, studio, backtrack, loops, crew or production people. We are based out of Chicago and often plan ahead to squeeze in filming our videos in a couple of hours when we are already traveling across the country for harp performances. Sometimes, as in this case, we have to wait a year or more to get a performance event that takes us near a location where we would like to film. We do not have the resources to hire anyone for anything. We have a blast making our vids with our limited time and resources. Wow! It's like you both floated down from heaven! Great talent and even so unusual and so great to see two sisters play harp together so well. I also love the places you went to record. I've never seen a harp played from a shoulder strap that is a great idea and nice too how you play and move with your music. The vocalist at the end is great too! You are both also so very beautiful. I read Tolkien to my daughters; they love it, AND they love your videos (especially this one). We were watching The Two Towers movie for the first time yesterday and my 6 year old said "The Harp Twins play this song!" when she heard Riders of Rohan in the movie.
