Historically, samurai did whatever they had to in battle to win. This idea of keeping to the Bushido code and not using stealth or poison or terrorism is idealistic fiction. The kind of things you would write about but in actual battle, they did what worked
Face them like a warrior he says, as his men execute poisoned men who can’t even stand up. I know it’s probably more of a mercy killing thing, but you can be damned sure that if those men were on the ground from wounds that the executions would still take place
@@vishaalgargi I know, but I could’ve, because the combat system was way more fun than assasinating, and I kept My honour. I get it kind of isn’t the point, but I never assassinated anyone on lethal and still beat the khan, so…
@Hibbit That's great that you completed it on Lethal. 👏 I think the game is highlighting the fact that Tsushima was outnumbered & Jin had to bear the weight of dishonour, in order to free his land & for the greater good overall. You're right in the sense of going against the Samurai code, but Jin story wise saw no other option. Such a great game. Can't wait for the sequel. 😃
His attitude at the time is questionable but he was under a lot of frustration at his uncle willing to sacrifice his soldiers for honour and for the atrocities the Mongols have committed. His methods of fighting were better in terms of dealing a blow to the Mongols without sacrificing any of the samurai.
