Yes the Lord is good! Incredible rhythm section, funky and just absolutely killin it. So many tasteful touches with just the right amount of reserve. Bassist definitely got up on the right side of the bed
Sergio is one of my guys he is one of the few handful of guys that just plays the drums beautifully you have alot of fast drummers alot of choppers and stick twirlers but only a few handful play the drums beautifully and that is out of all the drummers in history Sergio is most definitely one of those guys
It Lloyd like my husbands Yamaha Stage Custom… got that same sound… they’re amazing and so is this guy as WAS my husband who passed at a young 49 and played for 42 years of the 49. HE was also amazing! There’s a church in Norwich CT or New London, I gotta go there and get a copy of my husband playing… it was a babysit church and that day we were there they asked if there was any musicians in the house and my friend Michelle said right here, cuz she knew and sure enough he got up there and played for the house of God and it’s people…it was beautiful and I WILL share that when I get it… God rest his soul… such a loss.
Serge is a gem. He makes sure the accent figures are always super clear, usually on that beautifully tuned popping snare of his. The chops are there but he makes them really effortless and secondary to the proper figures. And he’s ALWAYS in control !
The snare looks like an off brand but it’s 14” x 8” w/tube lugs (maple shell) and Evans head. 20 years as a church drummer and I’ve only had pleasure of playing this song a handful of times but I did get to play with the zech 4:6 gospel choir in the early 2000’s. Super fun 😊
Yooo I really enjoyed that version. You can tell they've been playing together for a while. The drummer was going in!! But yooo the bass player and the keyboard player was killing it!! They're like the Latin version of Dirty Loops!! Lol!!
I will say . I love the way that snare sounds . It has crisp sound while the drummer is playing. The bass player eesh. Keyboard player everyone has a great vibe when playing.
