Spurned Progeny has to be my least favorite, along with the Hollow Crow. Such boring and gimmicky fights, with Spurned being the worst of the two.

Spurned was one of my favorite bosses in the game, but the crow needed work. Could have been one of the coolest bosses if you didn’t just fight enemies. Same with adyr, good thing there’s a secret final boss @@Xxamp14xX

Ranking bosses: Adyr, but he’s designed to be shit anyways since he’s severely weakened by the beacons 2/10 Hollow Crow: Another glorified Deacons of the Deep 3/10 Spurned Progeny: Basic giant boss, but it was kinda fun with a good theme that kinda reminded me of God of War OST, especially vocals. 4/10 Congregator of Flesh: Solid giant boss, but outshined by others. 6/10 Hushed Saint: Pretty tough boss for an early game boss and gives me a bit of tree sentinel flashback, but there’s a boss that I find a bit better. 6/10 Dervla: I want to rank this boss higher, but she needs more health. I hate to rank her this low since I enjoyed her a lot and she has arguably one of the best boss themes 7.5/10 Lightreaper: This is an odd case. He’s insanely hard early on due to his large health pool, but he’s too easy during the final encounter since he has less health and he barely shows off his final phase since you can strike him during transformation or when he summons his dragon. But his fight is like Lady Maria, a badass 1v1 duel. 7.5/10 like Dervla, I hate to rank him a bit low. Tancred and Reinhold: Tancred is decent, but uses most moves used by the Hushed Saint, but has at least two different moves and that’s it. It’s a recycled Hushed Saint with the overhead slam, shield smash, and shield block. Tancred’s fight is a 6/10, but Reinhold’s fight is a 10/10. His fight is solid for a non-humanoid fight. But since they are two bosses in one, I’m giving them a 7.75/10 Pieta: Best tutorial boss with a balanced amount of health 8/10 Sundered Monarch: Amazing final boss, but I prefer the bosses above him. 8/10. Eliane: Another great final boss and she’s no pushover like A Deer. 9/10 Judge Cleric: Is there anything else I need to say about this boss? The best main boss in the game. 10/10

I’m surprised to see how much people like sundered monarch. I thought he was like a 6.5/10, with hushed saint and pieta both being 9/10. Only boss I haven’t fought is the umbra final boss but I’m working on that now @@KuraiShogun

@@firstorderblade4432 but some bosses like Dervla and Lightreaper are done dirty IMO since 1) They are endgame bosses (Dervla is supposed to be mid game, but people find her much much later) 2) By then you fight them, you are already OP, making the fight somewhat anticlimactic. I kinda get Lightreaper since it symbolizes that you’ve gotten stronger over the course of your rivalry with him. Hushed Saint is rated a bit low since he shares the same moves as Tancred.

Those were at max 8 bosses that did that and most of them are because of something called a "gimmick".But I still think youre a little right because the guardian of Kinrangr for example is just an a-hole.

Dante's Inferno issue wasn't its era.

It would've been too based for the modern day - 0 chance I'd prefer a censored version of Cleopatra's fight more than the one we already have

The design of the bosses is not good. A very select few bosses are good, like Pieta, or the Knight guy who is kinda fucked up with 2 lives (tancred) But most of them have average designs, very few attacks, etc. They look good, yes. But Adyr and Hollow crow are HORRIBLE

Using Pieta sword and the umbral Pieta sword (which you get from beating the last boss of the umbral ending).

He only has fire if you progress his questline and he becomes evil.

@@CalebDekker IGN gave it a 5/10 (Gamespot) This game is fun but is really not even that worthy. A lot of people do think this game is around an 8 or even a 9 for them. As long as they like and enjoy the game, That all that matters.

Any reason you didn't like the game in particular? I'm thinking of getting it but I keep hearing the controls are too clunky compared to other modern soul-likes.

@@WildBandit300 The controls seem fine. Some of the animations aren't the best, Rolling is not the best and you cant manually jump, Gotta run and jump. Hitboxes needs work on some bosses, When you dodge when a weapon hits you, Your immune to damage and the weapon goes right through you. Lantern is a great mechanic but it can get tedious. Picking up your souls takes like 3 seconds and you can die if not careful. Loading screen while resting is fine but they should change it to what Dark Souls had like for real. 10 years later and still can't do it? Loading screen while getting revived in coop is just silly and you can die while loading. Level design is cool but how you travers the levels is meh and it feels like everything is just a straight line from going to a place towards the next, Gameplay is alright, Really simple like any other soul bourne games. I was disappointed that I cannot even go to locations that I see in the distance like that big hand and a lot of things are for looking at. The "Maps" From the journal is pretty useless, Tells you things on were to go? A lot of players like myself do not understand it. What I really like tho are some of the weapons and bosses. (This is a souls game so bosses are always the most focused) I really enjoy this game because of the lore. This game is a new story but it heavily relies on the first game's lore. I didn't liked the new story. I have other insight on giving it a 6, But, I'm not a game reviewer and that's my opinion on it. They could've added more life changing stuff to this game, But, They didn't. I would recommend playing this game if your really curious on it, I would pick up something else personally, Like, lies of p. The only downside of that game I hear is the boss animations and hitboxes are bad. Asmongold made a video about it I think on his take of the game.

That does not excuse a boss for being poorly designed. Gameplay design does not have to be sacrificed for lore significance or vice versa. So no, Adyr is not a good boss.

He didnt get hit because his attack animation makes his player model lower his head and body so the Hushed Saint spear doesnt touch him. Educate yourself before calling someone cheater

@@KuraiShogun parry isnt good, and you get wither damage even if its successful so you take extra damage if you miss it so dodging is the superior option for this game.

I agree, the real problem is not that you get wither damage or that it takes multiple perfect parries to actually critical strike an enemy, the problem is that when you do stagger an enemy, the critical attack you do deals an underwhelming amount of damage, so you're better off just side dodging + R1 combo everytime a boss attacks you, you'll get more eDPS that way as opposed to Dark Souls.@@blackhaze_gaming

nuh uh,the only problem i have faced by far is the b!tc# that can summon dog and a the giant sulyvahn dog,the arena,enemy,umbral reaml,weapon is good tho,8.5 by far

This is as close as you can get from Dark Souls 3 in terms of level design, art style, weapons and boss fights, no game can ever top a FromSoft game, but the bad reviews the game received early on were due to bad performance + crashes at launch, which have been fixed. The game itself is a solid 8.5/10

Needs more patches but could be like 8-9/10. A smaller price tag wouldn’t hurt either
