For the support thing, it's always a it depends. If you're running Kiri Lucio or Kiri Zen, damage would be important for Zen/Lucio but you should be focusing on making sure your team is topped up as Kiri as a baseline. However, the baseline might not be enough so you supplement that baseline with damage if you can. In a lot of cases where you have 2 primary healers like Ana Moira, you would want to delegate someone to go on an off-angle alone or with a DPS to do damage. That's when damage would be the most important stat. TLDR; look at your comp and look at your support's kit

Tank feels awful to play Dps feels awful to play Support is dps but with healing so it feels awful to play The only role that doesn’t feel awful to play is spectator So they shouldn’t nerf sombra because then spectator would feel awful to play

overwatch is dying. anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves or getting a bag for saying so. 5v5 has nothing on 6v6. getting 5v5 patches faster than 6v6 ever did and the fanbase is dwindling faster than ow1. almost like people aren't f*cking happy with the game and it's poor design philosophy. devs and 5v5 community are too stubborn to admit they might be wrong to even give 6v6 a fair chance. 'play one patch of 6v6 that was miserable and see how much better 5v5 is'. people are leaving your game behind and nothing is even sucking them away from it. they're are just being repulsed by the game itself. figure it out.

In lower ranks it usually comes down to a difference in support damage. Like I don’t let the people around me die in favor of damage but if my damage stat is higher than my healing it’s not that big of a problem

In my last year of high school I played Overwatch 2 competitively for our region.

I feel like the discourse around supports doing damage is countered by the fact Jay has never been in a situation where the dps aren't putting out damage. I'm not talking goofers mcgee having an off-game. I'm talking 0 and 7 with 3k damage while the enemy dps has 21-3 and 17k (or w/e.) Sometimes as support you need to be the great equalizer and get rid of the fkn enemy supports before your team can do anything lol

Coming from a Silver-Gold ELO DPS from Supports is definitely the better call. Because it doesn't matter if you're keeping your team alive if your DPS go negative and your Tank has shitty positioning. EVERY time I fight against a Mercy-LW comp, arguable the BIGGEST healing outputters in the game, i win. And everytime I play with a Mercy-LW comp, we lose. In Higher ELOs where the other roles are more competent? Sure, healers ig i dont have experience up there. Down here? PLEASE heal but PLEASE also help the DPS's-

ppl hate mercy because her already incredibly low skill floor dropped dramatically lower since the ow2 guardian angel changes which meant any fingerless chimp could now pick and mercy and do zoomies, meanwhile she got the supp passive that kicks in after 2 seconds of successful braindead zoomies and sympathetic recovery passive. an easy af hero that got significantly easier to play coming into ow2. shes just too easy, its not fun playing against someone who can get value when their mechanical skill tops out and pressing shift followed by space at the right time, they have 1 entire resource to manage and positioning is verrry forgiving due to frequent double movement bailing them out. and the fact that you have to verse someone whos not playing an fps game in an fps game is enough to trigger ppl. Hero pools was honestly so fkn hilarious when mercy was banned because q times doubled because dogshit mercy players would refuse to queue knowing theyd drop 3 ranks the moment they needed hands and more than 1 brain cell then next week theyd be back talking shit on mercy

14:43 then protect your healers, I've had to 1v1 a tank as a Mercy because my tank wasn't protecting me. As for damage as healers or truly depends on the Healer as Mercy yes healing and boosting but like I just said protect them because if I have to defend myself against a tank because my tank is off doing whatever then clearly they are a shitty tank (and yes surprisingly I actually beat that tank as Mercy)

5v5 is only a thing because dps and supp players cry over longer q's, not because its a better format. dont get me wrong im a dps main but when u can win a team fight because ur playing cree and looked at a dive tank and pressed E shouldnt be a thing. get 6v6 and split tank role into main tank and off tank like how dps used to be attack and defense and that way u can still have a sigma while the other tank gets hit by 1 ability and falls over *and not have to deal with double barrier*. dps and supp just need to get over q times edit*

Issue with death counts is that people will hear “I need to have less death on the scoreboard” then they’ll play their life like crazy and won’t ever push up and that’s how you get match’s where no one will push pass choke. Or the supports are scared to go up and disengage before anything even happens

Imo i think the tik toker and jay3 bith got it wrong imo thwre isn’t a clear cut most important stat for support instead i think it varies between damage or healing depending on the support far more than the other roles like for example with brig the amount of healung done might be indicictive if the uptime of inspire while more utility/damage focused supports it may be damage such as lucio zenyatta or illari and then for others still it may be the balance between them such as with ana and baptiste where you want both heals and damage on them so an argument could be made that either or both could be their most important stat

Ana wins. The only reason why widow got the shot was after the fact ana shot HER mask which revealed who widow was and ana was shocked and didnt take the shot which lead to her eye being shot out.

The Reaper clone would be so useless. 90% of the time, you're using your TP to go up vertically, so it would just send your clone into a wall basically signaling to the enemies what direction you went if they didn't hear or see you.
