I have found that you can make missiles hit twice as much if you pitch up relative to your target before firing. I think it puts the missile in a greater spot to hit plans maneuvering tightly.

Still, you need to be separated, and most drones are too fast for you to slow down for a missile shot, or maybe just skill issue on my end. After playing DCS, i found those missiles have similar behavior to that of an AIM-9L

In ACE3, missiles started to use inertial guidance and were more reliable (not infalible) as they actually applied ballistics and went ahead a lead to the target (like real missiles do), but since AC04, we went back to arcade burner chaser missiles which is so unreliable and has only gotten worse since, with Assault Horizon being the worst of it.

Both you and Carter are right, especially Carter, they are using a semi-realistic approach with this, the leading the target for the missile is very realistic because it's a recommended when firing missiles as a way to hit a target reliably, to low and far behind and the missile misses or has to curve back around.

AC5 was a little more intense, but this was still awesome!

If he died, how would he tell his son about Trigger's escapades? Without those stories, his son, Erich wouldn't have been inspired to join UPEO.

While I disagree with it being the best, Id say its certainly one of the greatest ones. The sense of dread in the beginning and then slowly a glimmer of hope with how Trigger starts to get an edge against the drones. The soundtrack is reminiscent of how the rest of the squadron might have felt watching their best take on the twin drones. That sense of dread slowly turning into hope and then into glory.

There is a setting/options that allows realistic crash damage

Since it was a drone, my theory is that it landed somehow in that wide gap between the tunnels. And then took off again...

Count was a bullet sponge for Trigger. Without Count there, Trigger would have been the one to eat lead and the mission would have ended in failure. Count saved Trigger's ass. Besides that, I think he also felt like he owed it to Trigger to at least try to keep up and help, especially after how much shit he gave him back in the penal squadron and when they were first assigned to the LRSSG.

Closest you can get is AC3 (japanese version) with it's multiple endings, AC0 with how you deal with enemies and it affects the future enemies and cutscenes and AC5 with the yes and no for dialog

The crazy sharp turn maneuver is called a "post stall maneuver". There are many guides on how to do it on youtube. Just search it up.

If remember correctly, someone says that if you destroy huggin or muggin, you have to destroy the other one under 30 seconds before it kills sol 2

When I write lore accurate, it means closest to how Trigger would have done the mission.

According to Acepedia, Trigger piloted an F-22 at some point in the game's story, but it doesn't specify when this aircraft change occurred. I know that he switched from the F-16 to the F-15 at Base 444, but after that, it's not mentioned exactly when he made the transition from the F-15 to the F-22. I thought someone might know when this happened. But he really made this transition. Some People says that he change his aircraft on the final mission, Others says this transition before..maybe between anchorhead raid...and farbanti war...i really dont know..

@@D4rKpath74 Its pretty much as you put it in the comment as far as I know. But in general, what sets Trigger so far apart from the rest of the protagonists is his "dont think, just do attitude". As referenced many times in the game, trigger is a pilot who just goes straight in the face of the enemy...

So based on that, I think he is the sort of pilot who can man any sort of a craft and make mince meat of his enemies.

because fuel and damaged planes meant you and count needed to land and get repairs and a grounded carrier that was to deliver jets was the closest available place with facilities to do that... and it's literally a reference to the Kestrel, that's why.

@@evanboll4651 its a mod to make them usable for campaigns. Helps push aircraft to its limits.
