I ended up doing the mission in an F-22 because I spent hours grinding to sail through the story in a Raptor

Hmm I don’t think so, I think Trigger engages in a constant battle to his behavior, the fact he doesn’t speak, the environment he committed, around friends and enemies that find influence in their voice, commands, orders, essential information directed by talking about it, or just general conversation, the only freedom we could say he has is flying and taking down enemy aircraft, what we, the player, can only direct. Him joining the Air Force is the only thing that describe him, he is the Air Force, War is waged everywhere by voice and by violence, but I think he chose the Air Force because it’s like purgatory, cementing the belief that who he shoots down is killed and the freedom and harmony of flying. The character is us, but the belts of humanity and demons strap and brand his personality.

@@Silverauren well there so SO many design sacrifices made in f22 for stealth so it would be kinda fucked and without the stealth Its it even beaten by a Rafale f16(2006) and even a f18 without its stealth as those fighters might not have stealth but their design makes them nightmarishly agile. f22 not caring about stealth is like artillery troting around without a shell both of them become pointless. Its like you speand entire life sacrificing friends family to study but in the end dont get to use the knowledge.

I think Trigger used the F-15 for most of 7, but for missions 1-4, he used the F-16, and for the last mission, he used the F-22.

for the starter missions trigger uses f-16, mid game he uses variations of the f-15 and for late game he uses f-22.

@@leonrussell9607 F-16 is the starting plane, so it makes sense that it would be the plane used for the first act of the campaign. There was also an in-universe article posted to aces web about the end of the lighthouse war. Though we can't see the stabilizers that well, the plane in the very front is an F-22, implying it was the plane that Trigger flew for the last stretch of the war.

The AI of this game is impressive--since that's an actual strategy often used in the PvP section of the game. . . . It's learning. And it's getting smarter.

I've had that happen to me the first time i fought Mihaly. Crashed straight into the castle while pulling up.

@@harbour2118 well, it's the only one I'm comfortable with maneuvering on low speeds and PSM to redirect myself to mihaly, that was until PA released Experimental Craft set, been using F-15S/MTD from start to finish

Theres a button for it that fixes the camera on the target. I tend to keep it pressed since it immerses me in the dogfight...

​@@rishizumi4078its just a normal g turn, but u must learn to control ur speed because ur turn radius depends on it. The nose pitch speed when g turning should be the same regardless of air speed

The writing is not bad. Sure, in the IUN "chapter" the writing is not that interesting but the characters get much more fleshed out in the Spare Squadron "chapter" of the game. The interactions between convicts are hilarious and Bandog is ruthless. But sure, maybe you don't like 50 people with dubious mental health screaming into your ears when dogfighting an enemy ace. But really thats part of the Ace Combat™ experience. Nonetheless, if you don't like the writing then turn off the voices and have a good flight pilot 👍.

You can always turn the voice volume down, dunno what's your problem to be this angry towards an arcade flight game
