Lore of the Zonai - Part 2 - The People of the Sky 

Obvious (maybe) theory: Zonai tech led to Sheikah tech - Zonai Shields led to Guardian Shields. Zonai Bow led to the Ancient Bow. Constructs led to the various Guardians. Separate theory: Ancient Hero was related to the "Barbarians". Were they Zonai, Gerudo, Sheikah, Hylian, some combination/variation of the former (hybrids???) Another (more obvious) theory: Fast travel points exist in the Zonai world because Zelda allowed Mineru to examine the Purah Pad who was able to reverse engineer the tech so it could be used in combination with Zonai tech/ruins.

Ooh I’ve been waiting for this one! I’m very curious to see what/if you might comment on the interesting similarities between the Zonai, Minish, Wind Tribe, Oocca, and the Skyloftians who remained in the sky 🧐

I was very intrigued by your theory about the labyrinths being castles for ancient zonai rulers. This was a great video. Well done for the effort !

Amazing video, I'm glad it goes over what is know fully as facts and doesn't give too many theories. Although theory videos are cool, having ones that set up for others and separate from the actual theories is nice to see. I do have a VERY rough transition for about five of the characters in the Zonai script. It doesn't work for all of the text found but usually (once more, not all the time) it's because it needs to be interpreted differently. There are times when it can be read up to down and others where it can be read down to up, there are other times where nothing changes no matter which way it's read. The characters most of the time don't translate into any language in particular and can just mean (example from the three characters found on the floating thing at the end of shrines) "person gives light to your arm" ["person" being from the character at the top, "gives" is from the middle one, your arm is from the bottom one, and the rest is interpreted from context]. Other times it just dipicts a picture of the object its written on.

This video deserves more views. Wonderful overview of the zonai culture, cheers to your continued efforts.

such a creartive video

Are the zonai realy gone or did they just go home? We know the Shiekah did the same and thanks to the yiga know though out hyrules histery were hideing in plain site the whole time. Zelda said at the start of tears of the kingdom that the zonai played many roles in hyrules histery but there were no details about the zonai or the roles they played. In skyward sword we find structers like the ancient cistern and fire sanctuery that share arcutecture and simblism of the zonai, and you did mention the wind temple meaning Rauru and Mineru warn't the first zonai to come to hyrule and probably not the last. My theary as an exstention of the alien zonai theary is that the Zonai come when hyrule is no more and rebuild it like a reconstruction or a hard reset. In skyward sword clearly there was a kingdom that pedates the first hyrule probably created by zonai I belive they came from another planet or another realm through disc shaped craft or portals in the sky, jump start a kingdom then leave, the kingdom falls and the zonai return to start all over again. "As the hylians continued about there veries concerns the Zonai observed and studyed"(HG Wells war of the worlds). Perhaps the Zonai were as curries about the hylians as zelda was about them. So the Zonai are not wiped out as ganondorf belives but that is what the zonai same as the shiekah before them wanted the hylians to belive so the Zonai can continue to observe and study from safty and confert of their home world or space craft in peace. If true this makes the Zonai the gods clan spoken of by demise. Zelda dose call them a race of gods, even the Rito called a lone zonai a god.

I find that the music in the shrines is similar to subnautica

I suspect the 3 dragons Dinraal, Naydra and Farosh are the 3 oracles from oracle of seasons and oracle of time. Din, Nayru, and Farore. Just like Rauru they would be retconned to be Zonai. I could also see the Ancient Hyrule being the Hyrule from Ocarina of Time. Where is Rauru and Sonia's child? In the courtyard with the child hero of time, looking at ganon through the window.
