It seems a little excessive to me...but then...it comes about for so many reasons, who am I to judge. If the weight goes up, the judges give it to you and you stay healthy, who gives a f*ck? There's no popularity contest for cleanest lift of the day.

Interesting foot work during the jerk. (I've never seen that before.) In drumming, we call that a FLAM.

If the coach loads weights, then that is challenge to the lifter that the lifter can do more and must give it a shot. I love the slow motion emphasis on that.

@@mark8987 in Chinese gyms they drop empty bars all the time and they work fine people on reddit who own elieko bars have said they have bars they treat very roughly and they still spin great. Elieko bars are made to last even in bad conditions. Also most good Olympic bars use needle bearings

I thought I was the only one who noticed I guess there's 2 smart purple here lol ...but I know it just seems like good technique to take advantage of the momentum to pull it up and then once again excellent body movement to get under the weight quickly as it's still on the way up right? I mean in slow motion you can perfectly see There's no real moment when any particular part of her body actually lifts any real weight.
