Great review...looks like a great board but it's pricey with lots of competition and I'd be concerned with dropping that much $$ on a product from a new company.
Hey, I’ve been really looking forward to the review for this board. I thought a lot of your shots were really cool. Just as a massive RU-vid.Esk8 consumer, it would help if you broke down the video into a few more sections. Honestly, a lot of us can tell exactly what the board is going to be like if we know the battery size, the types of motors used, the vesc, etc. Another thing I wish people would include more of in their videos is how they communicated with the company. What did their emails look like, how fast they respond, were they able to answer any hard questions, ETC. Especially I guess the main two things people are looking for when they watch a review is how does the ride feel, and what makes the board stand out/is it worth the money and why again though great job really loved the video and happy they have people reviewing this board
I currently ride a Fluxmotion AT2 and this board seems like one to keep an eye on for my next ride possibly. Im very tall and am used to channel trucks at this point so this seems like one of the few options that might ride similar to my Flux. Great review!
That thing is massive at over 60 lbs. Build quality looks crazy good and the led indictator in the middle is a cool new feature. Cool board if looking for a Kaly type sized board. As always your reviews are super informative 👌
EDIT: it's in the description now 🤙 What's the song that starts playing at 5:15? When you're showing off the nobi tires whatever that song is it slaps harder than Will Smith 😂
It looks like they've now redesigned this board (V2)? Dp you know what the differences are? It doesn't look like the V2 has as much arch and now has a bamboo and CF deck. I see the price is down to $3200 as well.
Off topic: I kinda said this in passing as a joke te a Motorcycle friend. "Why is ALL infrastructor dedicated to cars?" What if we split infrastucture by making Two wheeled only roads? Specifically roads JUST for moto, pev, pedestrian and disability scooters. Just a thought, SOMEBODY RUN WITH THIS!
i dont have the flux anymore, but the deck is VERY DIFFERENT.. power is very similar. but flux is really questionable at this point. a lot of customers on fb are getting ignored unfortunately. but there similar. but very different decks and Major has a lotttt more fun features
It came out pretty recently. Maybe it was around December 2022. I love my Kaly XL50 but recent battery pack pictures have me worried and about to sell it or just have a pack rebuilt
@robm425 to each his own decisions, but my friends Kaly XL50 has over 4k miles on original battery pack built by Kaly. Plus, if you search for Lacroix batteries on RU-vid, you'll find that before December of last year, the Lacroix aren't that much better. Yes, the battery packs SHOULD have more protections, specially for the price, but the same could be said about other board builders.
There we go. Finally a real BOUTIQUE board, when i see this i say daaaaamn that fukers noice. Its like seeing a bugatti lol u know u dont need it but fuuuk its cool!!! Forsure a kaly and lacroix killer aall day hands down noooo doubt about it. Does it got a vesc based esc???
Hey there! I'm the Brand Manager for Lorentz Boards. Our ESC is not VESC based, but it puts out 130A total which is equal to or more than what many VESC-based boards in this segment come set to. Additionally, there is customization of top speed, acceleration, and braking force for each speed mode. Our goal is to offer something high performance that does not require users to be knowledgeable about VESC.
@@ajplant96 Interesting! Most Lacroixs I have worked on were set to 130a out of the box, but it's possible that has changed and of course is something owners can adjust if they are competent with using VESC Tool. VESC will definitely always be the power king and that's not something we are looking to beat. Our goal is to offer something comparable without some of the downsides associated with using a VESC-based ESC.
