Believe in yourself more Lorenzo. You have the talent. You have the shots and the game to be in the top rankings consistently. Very happy for your title win after a long time 🎉😊🥳
Little by little, we are talking about an ATP 250, the bigger the tournament, the more it narrows down and when this happens it is the moment when the level and delivery of each one is measured.
SONEGO ALSO ON DOPPING. THE DOPPING CONTROL SHOULD NOT BE DONE BY THE FEDERATIONS OF EACH COUNTRY ALONE. THE ITALIANS WHO ALWAYS DID WELL ON MAFIA FOR DRUGS, NOW USED THESE DRUGS ON SINNER.
Not sure about it, but i heard a few months ago that he had problems adjusting a new racket. That may have been part of the problem why he hadnt much results lately
@@Bhavyo lmao, this is how Sonego is. When SuperSonego is activated, the guy can't miss. It's just that Sonego has no control about when SuperSonego comes and goes.
Pochi o nessuno però, come te. ;-)
I appreciate the grace that was showed to Michelsen, but the fact that Shapovalov got defaulted for much less shows that the ATP needs to be more consistent with their enforcement.
Much less? Are you insane? He sent the umpire to the hospital. He had a cracked eye socket which required surgery. So that's much less than a woman getting hit in the shoulder and then saying she's fine?
Audible obscenity to fans at match point = defaulted and lose all points and prize money Hitting the ball with such force and blind anger that hit the fans causing physical harm = pep talk with ump Crazy
The reason why there was no DQ is because nobody got hit. It was close, the lady got feared, but she was not hit. This is where the rule becomes nonsense : you hit someone, you're defaulted ; you don't, it's just a warning. But your gesture is the same and, when you angrily smash a ball in the crowd, hitting someone or not in just a matter of good or bad luck and luck should not determine the sanction. So the sanction should be the same in both cases and, with such violence, I think it should be a default even if MIchelsen is a nice guy in general.
Aurelie Tourte is the same chair umpire who in Monte Carlo did not see a second serve by Tsitsipas that went out 20 cm and would have given the opponent a break.
It's the final, there are a lot of people who have paid to come and see it, if the spectator was O.K. then I think a final warning is in order. It's better to smash the racquet on the floor tbh. Hitting the ball always has risk.
I don't think he's overrated. I think everyone is aware that he's a player of very limited ability. Match winning percentage in the 40%s is not exactly lighting the world on fire. From what I've seen so far he's just another entitled, spoiled, self centered American player with a big ego and the skills of a college level player who thinks he can make it big on the ATP tour. Emotional teenager with a mediocre game at best.
@@jm7804 He's not entitled, spoiled or self centred at all, in fact he always shows a lot of class and respect to his opponents. You are literally blind. Apart from the unfortunate incident today the kid is classy.
Classy act by Sonego, if this was WTA the highlights would be 15 minutes of arguing with the umpire to get Michelsen disqualified after that wild ball. 😂
They could have only hoped that the ball hit by Michelsen had deflected from Sonego's racquet and hit a spectator. Then they could have disqualified the Italian and given the trophy to the American 😂
That ball toss at 4-0 should've been a DQ. Still, if Alcaraz did something like that, it wouldn't even make the highlights. Djokovic, on the other hand...
Bro it's not hard at all are you fucking retarded? The ump was about to DQ him if whoever he hit was injured. She went over and asked. If she said he/she was hurt it would have been DQ. They weren't so no DQ. It's the fucking rules you absolute retard.
Bruh...though it may be against admittedly second-tier competition, Sonego has looked like an absolute BEAST over this run. Shocking to see he's only inside the top-50 on the evidence of Winston-Salem. Looks like top-20 material with potential to rise, but he's also 29 y/o, and I said the same thing about Popyrin after his Montreal win. Sonego, in what looks like the form of his life, isn't gonna be an easy out in the USO. Michelsen is good, but he has a long way to go -- but at just 19, his best tennis (and composure) is ahead of him.
Hypocritical Americans and the public as usual when it comes to their athletes. This lower-class American tennis player hits a man from the audience and is not disqualified, but that's why Novak Djokovic is disqualified after that woman screamed in pain and magnified the situation. It's a shame that no one and nothing like Mickhelsen has better protection than the worst tennis player of all time Novak Djokovic, if Mickhlsen has any honor after that I gave up the match. Usual trash from a tennis player. Feedback

Michelsen should have been DQ, right? What is her interpretation of the rules on this case? Why did she decided differently than when she DQ Djokovic at the US open?

It's not only about hitting someone, but how the hitted person behaving right after the shot. In Djokovic's case the female line umpire was in big pain and couldn't breathe.
But have you noticed that whatever happens there is always a Nole-fan who makes hypotheses ? ... like news: "woman gives birth to a baby gorilla" ... Nole-fan: "if it had happened to Djokovic..."
Non si capisce nulla delle parole di Michelsen. Gli americani quando parlano così sono indecifrabili. Bisogna parlare italiano. Almeno sonego quando ha parlato si capiva quasi tutto.
Once again, for being afraid to rune an event (too soon), for which people and brands have paid to be there, the referee takes a decision in favour to keep the game going, yet happened something way different in the past for similar cases. It’s all relative, and quite complicated to detach your subjective point of view (the referee) when there is so much involved in such a short time. And it is part of a video on TennisTV now :D
Because apparently nobody got hurt. Many players hit the ball angrily into the crowd and when nothing happens, they just get a warning. This has happened to Djokovic (and other players) before, too. He was also hitting the ball into the crowd, but when nobody was hurt, he just got a warning. He was only disqualified when he really hurt someone. Just like when someone kills somebody in a car crash, even if it's unintentional, they get treated totally differently by the court compared to people who cause a car crash where nobody gets hurt. Even if the action itself is the same and the only difference is coincidence, bad luck. But the consequence always matters. By the way, Djokovic didn't lose a grand slam title because of it. It wasn't a final, it was a 4th round match, a very long road to the title. Thiem, who eventually won the title, had beaten Novak in 5 out of their last 7 meetings (including two grand slam matches), so nothing was guaranteed for Novak, he still had very tough opponents in the draw.
These are the kind of tournaments that only Sonego will win and never an M1000 and much less a GS, these tournaments are out of reach for a player of his caliber. What's more, he gets to the US Open and believe me, he'll get to the second and/or third round and from there they'll send him home to eat Italian pasta. The only top Italian who will win many GS, along with Carlitos Alcaraz, is Jack Sinner, period. I love the Italian Musetti, but I think he lacks a bit more effort in his game, although he plays much better than Sonego. IMHO!
