My cousin, Loretta Lynn, was a great woman. I'm happy to the replica of her birthplace is not marked with magic marker. The house is butcher holler is all marked up inside with "fans" markings.
Hello Veronica, Loretta's life story is an amazingly inspirational. I am glad that she was able to save the replica from the movie "A Coal Miner's Daughter" and preserve it for everyone to see. Touring this building was a very humbling experience. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have an amazing day!

Omg I just had to watch this. Loretta Lynn is one of the most known names in country music. Thanks for sharing this. Definitely deserves more attention.
For anyone interested more in what mountain life is like from Loretta's family life, I highly recommend a tour of these three places: The Webb Home in Van Lear, KY The Kentucky Coal Museum in Benham, KY The Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, TN I recommend a weekend trip hitting up the Webb Home, then to Benham, then to Clinton. It works out both by route and by history. Check 'em out! Thanks for filing this and putting it up. A real treat!
I have been a fan of Loretta Lynn for years and did not know there was a museum and all this! I'm going to have to make a trip to Hurricane Mills!! Great video!

Loretta Lynns Ranch is a great place to visit if you are near Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, The Elvis Birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi or Nashville, Tennessee. I can't wait to visit Loretta's Ranch and check out the new exhibits in her museum and watch a concert. Thanks for watching my video. Have an amazing day!

Ms Loretta Lynn was a great woman that loved her fans and always said that they are the reason why she is in the place that she was in and was very grateful for her fans and hugged them and cooked for them.... I got to meet her in 2003 at her 4th of July party at her hurricane Mills ranch and I got to hug her and I told her that she was a wonderful person and I thought of her as a friend that truly cares..... I will truly miss her but I will cherish the memories of her and never forget her..... Rest in peace Ms Loretta Lynn and now you can sing for your mom and dad and the rest of your family in heaven and with Jesus
I have been to Hurricane Mills and I did go in the museum, but I don't remember seeing the painting of the funeral hearse pulling the Uhaul trailer. " You can't take with you ". Boy...that is right !! Haha...!! 😄😉👍 I like that !!
Salvatore, that is a time in history that I am afraid we will never be able to live again. Simplicity is gone.Neighbors helping neighbors, visiting the sick,or just an old fashioned neighborhood picnic, not in the big city .I really miss living in the mountains, where people are friendly and real. Oh, how I miss that.
Yes, Frank I agree with your thoughts about old fashioned Southern country living. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have a wonderful day.
I wish I would have known what you describe. I live in a neighborhood that is not cordial. Everyone is always trying to make trouble for others. Have a clique of 6 houses around me who are just rotten. I long for Mayberry. I have lived here 28 years and no neighbor has spoken to me or answered me when I spoke to them. You were blessed to have even known that briefly
@@tootsiebabe3555 I feel your disappointment . Jacksonville FL . is worse than any place I have lived. I wish you could live in the small town I was born in . Nice people , beautiful scenery ,and above all else , respect. Do you remember a t.v.show called The Walton's, that is almost perfect for how we lived in my younger days. Hard work , church , Sunday picnics, love and respect for others.I miss it a lot.
Thanks Tracey! It is actually one of my first videos and was edited with my phone. I can't believe how much success it has had in the past couple of months. Have a great day.
Unbelievable that this is an exact duplicate of the house in Butcher Holler that I visited in the 80's..What a Museum..!!!Beloved Woman that will never be Forgotten..!!!!!❤❤❤
It very nice old stuffs and very nice old house and very nice park and very nice views. I like all your show. Thank you very much for share. A coal miner`s daughter.
Go to Butcher Hollow , see the home place and the beautiful country , mountains and streams. The people there are real friendly. The house is just like the one I lived in . when I was young. That's when people really appreciated life . And respected each other .
Thanks for watching and commenting on my video Frank. I appreciate you helping to describe these beautiful places. I am always in culture shock when I visit rural communities in how simple and very friendly they are even to strangers. When I visited her ranch that warm summer day many of the people who worked on her ranch and that went on the tour with me were amazingly friendly and cordial. Southern people really know how to be hospitable to guests. Have a wonderful day Frank.
Yes Frank, im 79. & Rember when your neighbour's were your friends mates & never had to ask for help. They were on ya doorstep saying we're here to help! Where do we start. start!?. Now so called mates only know you when they need something#*¥*#. I'm in Australia one of our greatest country singers Adam Harry. 1 of his best is. WHEN THE GOOD TIMES ROLL COUNT YOUR FRIENDS WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN COUNT THEM AGAIN. How true.cheers.
Loretta is an amazing lady. Her Ranch and museum in Hurricane Mills is an inspiration for visitors of all ages. Thanks for watching my video. Have a wonder day Nancy!
Hi Salvatore, You put out a good, interesting video here! For people like us, that can't get over there to visit, you've made it easy. I have seen the inside of her house, in little glimpes, in some shows, but you showed us a complete detailed view. I went to see the original Coalminer's Daughter movie, back when I was 14 years old, in 1980, when it first came out in the theaters. It was me, and my friend Kimmy, from church, and we were dropped off at the movie theater, right after church, to go see it. In 1987, when I was working for an elderly lady, I used to read books to her , sitting in a chair by her bedside, and I read to her one of Loretta Lynn's autobiography books, about her life story. I enjoyed it so much, and so did the elderly lady. When I got to certain parts of the book where there was suffering, I couldn't help crying, and I was trying to control myself, so the little old lady wouldn't see me, but I couldn't help it. The elderly lady said that she recognized, and could relate to some of what Loretta was saying, because when she herself was poor growing up, all they had to brush their teeth was a piece of wood, that had been frayed at the top, as bristles, and they'd use just baking soda, and salt, as toothpaste! Now, my grown daughter and I have a DVD of the movie Coalminer's Daughter, and we watch it over, and over! We love and respect Loretta, and my daughter says that she understands why Loretta was so jealous of Doolittle, because my daughter knows how possessive an Aries woman is!! 😃 Some day, when I am well again, I'd like to visit the country, and walk all over those beautiful acres of land, like I once did many years ago in the country. Tell Loretta we said hi, and she's a beautiful lady. (Oh, and I have lots, and lots of videos of her singing, in my RU-vid history). Bye.🌹🌺🌻❤
Thanks for sharing your beautiful stories about growing up and how Loretta's life relates to you an many others. She is a wonderful lady and her story serves as a great inspiration to many around the world. I appreciate you watching and commenting on my video. I hope that you do have the opportunity to visit Loretta's Ranch in the future as it is a great place to visit.
Hello John! Thanks for sharing that you visited her house in Hurricane Mills and that your friend worked on her bus. Loretta is reported to now live in Nashville. Thanks for comments and watching my video. Have an amazing day!

It really is! I can't wait to go back again and see what's new at the museum and stay in the campground. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video Jesse! Have a fantastic day!
Loretta is a wonderful woman, I've been there, what she does there for the kids with the motocross is great, she does have a home there, very modest, and she has a mid 90 Ford f 150 nice truck, nothing fancy, she's one of us, she's a very small woman, but her heart is hugh... the mansion was not something she wanted, it's realy just Mooney's place she bought for him 'cause he wanted it... everyone should go there.... go when they have the motocross amateur nationals 1st week of August, then it's even better.
Yes, I was there when they had the motocross weekend. The kids are very well mannered and come up to you and say "Hello!" I was just impressed as to how friendly everyone on her staff was and even the visitors. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Loretta is a wonderful lady and it is so great to read the many great stories about her in the comments section from her beloved fans. Have a fanatic day!
I'd love to visit her original house. I've heard that they give tours of the house in Butcher Holler. The roads to Loretta's house in Hurricane Mills are also very narrow. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have a wonderful day.
Loretta's Ranch and home is a beautiful place to visit. I think that she now lives in Nashville. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have an amazing day!
Man, the irony hit when the narrator said she kept everything when looking at a repro of her first Nashville home. If she didn't have a museum to put all the stuff in, nor a big house, she'd be considered a hoarder, or at the very least, MAYBE borderline hoarder. LOL!! Thank you for going there, shooting the video and putting it up. My husband doesn't like to travel, so, would NEVER get to see this in real life. This is the next best thing.
I guess Loretta would be considered a hoarder, but Dolly Parton would too as they have so much stuff in their museums. Even the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville is piled with memorabilia. Thanks for watching, and commenting on my video. Have an amazing day!
I really don't know, but it has to do with a famous saying. "You can't take it with you when you die." Thanks for watching my video. Have an amazing day!
TU U Mien Tay , it's in Tennessee. Loretta Lynn's museum is just across the river from her beautiful historical Victorian house. Loretta does not live in the house anymore, but she has another house behind the Victorian house that she does live in. Hope that helps answer your question. Have a great day. 👍😉
It sure is! I can't wait to visit again to see what has changed. Thanks for watching my video Karen. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel. Have an amazing day!

Hello Brenda, It was a beautiful place to visit. You could really feel Loretta's spirit in her house when you went inside. I hope to go back and visit again one day soon! Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have an amazing day!
