Our campus is located close to Edinburgh, in Musselburgh, on East Lothian’s beautiful coast. Our School benefits from all the opportunities offered by this rural setting while being globally connected.
Our Campus is located just 6 miles, that is 9 kilometres, from the centre of Scotland’s capital city, and its international airport. We're also about 20 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh's main train station (Waverley), and just a few minutes off the A1.
Visitors are welcome to our main Reception at Pinkie House - a beautiful historic building - in which the Headmaster’s study and our Admissions office are located. Parking space are available just in front of the building.
We would be delighted to welcome you and your family at Loretto School. Open days and prospective pupil events are a perfect opportunity to gain a real insight into life at Loretto. These are held throughout the academic year, and individual visits, taster days, or taster stays can also be organised.
Visits are the perfect opportunity to discover for yourself all that Loretto has to offer and the outstanding opportunities we create for our young people to develop in mind, body, spirit.
To get started, please contact our Loretto Admissions Team. We will arrange a visit at your convenience, or a skype call if you're living abroad. You will usually meet with the Headmaster, as well as teaching and pastoral staff during a pupil-guided tour of the School.
After your visit, if you wish to apply, please just send our Admissions Team a registration form with the required documents and fee - all is explained on the form. We accept applications for entry into most year groups.
On receipt of your registration documents, and with your permission, we will request a reference from your child's current school and start the assessment process which can be undertaken remotely for international applicants.
Once a place is offered we very much hope you accept the place by returning the acceptance paperwork and deposit.
At key entry points we organise transition events for new pupils. The Admissions team will guide you through the process of starting at Loretto by providing you with all the information you need and are always delighted to assist you.
