I completely broke down with Lori and when she said through tears, "If I can give back...in some small way... it's my job." What a sweet soul! Very inspiring! Makes me want to be and do better giving back too.

I'm a breast cancer survivor like Lori. She's such a sweetheart to lower the price of the dress. I hope Meredith came through chemo without too many issues and had a beautiful wedding.

Meredith Legg Stapleton died Feb 24, 2014 at age 26. She was one of at least four young women who developed and died of the extremely rare cancer ocular melanoma in the Huntersville/Lake Norman area, prompting investigation into possible environmental causes. One consideration was the presence of radioactive chemicals released into the lake by Duke Energy. However tests show the water within acceptable limits. Doesn't seem they ever discovered a sure reason for the "cancer cluster" - but I'd probably not want to live there.

And this is why I love Lori. Surely I'm not the only one brought to tears.

I agree...it's how I feel about my wrinkles, scars, etc....dammit I earned them and I wear them proudly, because those are only half what I've survived...the rest are not visible in the heart and soul. If you're looking at that scar, ma'am, it means you are still here and you should be proud of that.

This is so sweet. And what Lori said at 8:13 about giving back is like one of the reasons why I've wanted to be a nurse since kindergarten. Being in and out if doctors offices or hospitals as a kid made me want to try giving back in some way. And also my mom was an assistant nurse so that was part of it too. Unfortunately with my health how it is now, I'm not sure if ill ever be able to be a nurse, but I still hope to at least try going to school for it

Meredith got married in 2012 but sadly passed away from cancer in February 2014. She was very athletic and played as a basketball starter for 4 years at The University of South Carolina-Aiken in the Peach Belt Conference & holds many records. She was only 26 yrs old when she died. 😢

I'm a year into remission from DLBCL I still have the port in and my scar is minimal so far. It's definitely something that I either feel like showing off or not. I've had both Chemo and Radiation. The radiation was all focused on my neck so it was super visible and I couldn't cover it up because a cover would irritate my neck more. Chemo started great then as it cumulated in my system it got harder and harder. That stuff was probably the worst part. Once you get through all of the treatments and hear "Remission" it's like a weight has been lifted.

funny how in the start of day talk, robin's hair is below her shoulders, and then when she goes to talk to the customer, her hair is suddenly 3-4" shorter. the editing makes it seem like she goes straight from meeting to client but clearly that isn't the case.
