this may be the first time in one of these situations where I actually did like the added blingy belt! It really gave the finishing touch. I actually gasped a little when she came out in that last dress; it's not a dress I'd like on it's own but she just looked perfect in it that she hadn't in any of the others

@bjones6537 2 days ago I think the belt added to the dress, but should have been pearls or crystals instead of silver which became the focal point instead of the brides face.

It’s so sad that even well-meaning people haven’t been taught that body-shape prejudice hurts everyone. In response to a previous comment, I was not judging the mother, just upset about a comment she made. Daughters are usually sensitive to their mothers’ comments about bodies (theirs or anyone else’s). I won’t be reading replies - learned my lesson.

When I shopped for my dress I had my mom, 2 sisters,my best friend and my niece. They all have opinions BUT I did what I want! I didn't let anybody influence me or change my mind or insult me! It's about the BRIDE! These family members and "friends" are ridiculous! I love watching people get their dress but these people who "love" the bride to be need to SHUT UP! This was a family that was all about the bride. The title doesn't match at all. Sure mom thought she wanted to see bride in one thing, but said no, that isn't my girl. They all where kind and let the bride pick up what she wanted.
