I initially had the same opinion, but further reflection and reading convinces me that Chandler PD handled Charles' concerns correctly. They took Charles seriously and brought Lori in to be interviewed by law enforcement and a mental health professional. If you watch the interview, she sounded perfectly normal and it was not far-fetched to think this was just a bitter divorce. There was nothing more law enforcement could do, because you can't arrest people for the possibility of a future crime or on the basis of hearsay and without reasonable cause.
Agreed. If they had checked the records, had talked to more people, maybe they could have stopped it. IMO, The Vallow family should sue the ‘mental health facility’ that released her without due diligence. There are tests: the MMPI for example that are designed to give accurate diagnoses help in spite of appearances. They didn’t keep her long enough to do that.
@@gribble2979 remember Alex was already convicted and jailed for a felony assault against Joe Ryan… at the time they took Alex and Lori at face value. They were let go with no follow-up until after the children made national news.

Does Lori have money? I ask this because if she does she can buy protection in the prison. Child killers are not popular so she might be in PC, Protective Custody. This is no guarantee of safety but, in PC as in General Population, there is a hierarchy and a pecking order, human nature being what it is.

The Supreme Court rulings are that police are not obligated to protect citizens from harm, police are not obligated to respond when you call 911, they are not obligated to enforce restraining orders and they are not obligated to stop a man from killing his wife or putting their life on the line. My husband was a cop while in law school and has been an attorney for over 30 years and was a prosecutor for 12 years. Google the question....are police obligated to protect citizens from harm.....they are not. That is not what protect and serve means. .

She is currently in the Maricopa County Jail. She is facing her charges and if convicted will then be sent to prison. Although I will say having worked in the Maricopa County Jail system it is a nightmare!
I was thinking I would rather see her incarcerated in Idaho because it is cold there (especially in winter.) She clearly loves the warm weather (Hawaii) so I would prefer to see her in a groomer, colder place.
Well, if it's up to her . . . she'll probably plead not guilty . . . welcoming a trial just for a change in pace to her life in a prison cell. . . I mean . . . what's the worst that can happen ? ? ? ?

I don’t personally know Tylee, JJ, Charles or Tammy.. but as I’m sure ALL of us do, I have a love for them and wish so badly ONE law enforcement officer listened to Charles. They would all be alive, and this sadistic being would be locked up. My heart still breaks and I still cry for them. I think that will ever stop.

One time, I erroneously got locked-up in Maricopa and I saw Jodi Arias in the court and in Estrella Jail, here in Maricopa County. Maybe she'll make friends with Jodi, lol.
@Ausgar-yc1yl When Jodi was going to trial, she stayed in Maricopa at Estrella when she would get transported from the prison to go to other court hearings and would be held alone in a temporary holding-cell at the front of Estrella. When I would get sent to tent city, we had to enter through the front of Estrella and stay in these cells for a few hours, before they'd take us through Estrella into tent-city. She passed by my holding cell, once, with about six guards around her and she smiled at me, when I looked through a small window in the door, on her way to court. When they transported me into court, she stayed in a cell next to mine in the courthouse. I saw her get patted-down when I was getting taken into court. You probably don't know as much as you think you do, slappy.

I saw this on the Arizona news this morning. Sounds like they did it without any need for prior notice! My guess is they have a lot more information not being made public to move her and try her, especially due to the sentence that she already has to serve. @Nate, are you going to come here for the trial?
