It's amazing how often I see this comment on Lorn tracks, and it's great. "WHO IS THIS? HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD THIS!?" If you like IDM, EDM, bass music, trap, dubstep, experimental and just about anything with a synth in it Lorn has something for you as long as it isn't poppy trance.
Someone said in another comment that lorn's music was dark but not gloomy. I agree. I think what they try to do in their music is make people realize the power in darkness. Embrace it even.
Katerina there is a forgotten word for the embracing of the darker side of things. its called "goth" aka dark romanticism. Take every genre in the world and through it in from of a black mirror... the reflection will be a new genre, same sound, but with a darker twist.
There are some artists that I like solely based on the music that they produce. Then, there are the ones I love because they tap into the deepest, darkest parts of my soul. LORN is of the latter variety.
I've been on this eerie journey too since many years. I discovered many artists on my way. I can confirm these above listed artists got good stuff. I really like about this kind experimental music the amazing worlds that start emerging in your head while listening, which no other music genre could do.
i just visualized a whole music video for this song, where a guy makes a homunculus in his basement, and it nuzzles up to his finger before he kills it, thanks.
I’m listening to this on full volume right now with my earphones, and the first few beats made me blink at the same time, haha.. It still gets me a bit but just a little.. Dang it-
