Cell phones are getting better for recording concerts. I don't think the makers have death metal shows in mind when they're making them. I wish they did. 🤘
I just can't imagine writing and recording this song, and then gettin this nasty vocals done and STILL being able to say "oh fuck yeah I can do this live"- will Ramos probably. It's one thing to record and create those sounds in a studio, but to perform it almost daily on tours. Holy shit what a fuckin beast will ramos
What a great performance and kudos to the drummer for recovering flawlessly after his stick got away from him early in the song. Playing at that speed and finding another stick without missing a beat was so impressive to me.
@@REIDOPLANETA I agree. It sounds amazing on the album but it's a lot of studio magic. I've heard a video of his kicks sounding pretty goddamn close to perfect, but his hands can't keep up. I think his triggers on the bass drum are set too sensitive as well because it seems like he's getting some doubles where there shouldn't be. This has happened to me live before, so I know it can actually make your bass drum skills sound much worse than they are. I borrowed a friends bass trigger and I hit much harder than him, so even on single notes I was getting double clicks. I also can't do better, but that's why I write drums that I can play consistently live.
They 100% won't be a headliner next year, there's literally no way but they will be higher on the bill whenever the next time the play is. I doubt they would ever be able to headline Bloodstock.
KSE and Megadeth headlining Bloodstock next year but Lorna Shore could headline more genre orientated festivals or 1 day gigs. The hype around Lorna Shore and Slaughter To Prevail at the moment has pushed deathcore to new heights
Nah, they're not big enough to be headliners yet. Despite their quick rise in popularity they're still a very niche band in the metal community as a whole, unlike bands like Lamb of God, Mercyful Fate etc. Like someone before me said, they'd be better headliners for smaller shows and 1-day festivals with a smaller lineup.
@@shagrathmostis5356 That's only Sunday though, I reckon they could succeed on the Saturday headlining if they continue the success they're aiming for.
The people talking about drum triggers have no idea how they work 💀💀 All it does it make them all the same noise level lol he still has to time it perfectly
@@garrettgrowls same, I like my kicks to have a nice low end thump. You need a bit of click to cut through the mix better though, especially with heavy distortion
I’ve been drumming for 20 years. I personally would never use them. In a way I feel like they’re cheating but at the same time no human in the world can keep up with deathcore chugs so they’re kind of needed
Sloppy joe. In this case, the triggers are making the flaws stand out rather than helping. I love this band, but I wish the drummer would tighten it up or write the drums at a level he can play consistently. And their other songs they've released are even harder in some cases, LOL!
Saw these guys live on the Chaos and Carnage tour. Never really liked deathcore that much but that concert (especially Lorna Shore) got me into the genre.
They deserve these big stages, not the tiny venues they been doing over the last year 🤘🏼 But whoever did the sound for Austin's kick drum needs to be fired because it sounds WAY too clicky. And i hate when a venue adds the echo on Wills vocals through and entire song, it throws him off
Clicky? He's playing with triggers?! If he didn't it would sound awful. Unless you're Chris Turner who can execute those speeds with precision and power. Not saying this guy isn't good because he's still an insane drummer but he needs those triggers to keep it sounding good.
@@gregoakley607 dude there's plenty of people that use triggers that don't sound this clicky. clearly if the studio recording doesn't sound clicky, then why would it live?
@@mattflanagan8515 I doubt he does, there was a video I saw of them playing to the hellfire and the echos were on damn near every vocal line and you can tell it was fucking him up
@@nickkduhh yea i don’t really get it. it seems all the videos i’ve seen the echo occur they’re outside maybe that’s why? but that’s an easy fix they just need better sound crew
@@Jake_45 I don't think we're listening to the same performance. They were a little inconsistent at the beginning, but they were on point the test of the performance.
I wish someone would do their live sound justice. 😕 I can't hear bass. I can't hear any drums other than symbols, snare and triggered kick, guitars are ok I guess.... Great performance.
God, this shit was so immensely incredible to experience live, one of my most anticipated bands of that weekend and they didn't disappoint one bit. Will Ramos marry me pls thx.
Listen while these guys and vocals still can? Go get tickets and watch them play coz its not gonna last. U don’t know what ur missing. Ridiculously great performance
