Ive seen several people saying this guy (Will Ramos) and Alex Terrible are competing for a spot in hell right now, the more I listen the more I think about it.
I get being frustrated that the vocals are buried a little too much in the mix, but man, they're literally coming from the pits of hell in this one. I think they sit appropriately considering the brutality and chaos in the instrumentation. That outro breakdown is pummeling. My god...
RU-vid, as well as most of the streaming platforms out there, applies loudness normalization. Right click on any video you've loaded -> Stats for nerds -> you can see the content loudness. RU-vid is quite 'famous' with its harsh normalization ( as well as Spotify, but Spotify offers an option in the Settings from which you can turn off this normalization). Most other platforms do not compress the audio that much as they tend to be a little bit more friendly towards the Integrated LUFS value of a specific song. That being said, that compression is not just a normal 'turn down' of a volume. Sometimes it tends to be unequal ( as in Lorna Shore's song ). One more thing to keep in mind is a technique mixing/mastering engineers use: they leave the vocals a bit more into the background so as to force the listener to raise the volume of the track in order to hear them more clearly, thus making the instrumental parts shine even more and getting them stuck into ppl's heads for a longer period of time. Ive been a metal head for 29 years. This band, has broke every rule i had as a screamer. This man is a beast in all vocals. This band has blown my 10 year fav bands out the water. I will forever introduce this song to melt the faces off those who upose us!....er me..

I had the same reaction as you with wanting the vocals brought forward a little more at the beginning, but damn this new vocalist just takes you on a ride and slams your head against the pavement over and over again. Absolutely insane

I've been following this band since bone kingdom, seen them live 4 times and this is their best work. I think you're right the quarantine has changed the game. Everyone sat at home depressed, scared, worried, and it presented the perfect opportunity to change the direction of the genre and I couldn't be more onboard. Also you're review is the best so far now to wait for kardavox academy for the vocal breakdown.

The transition into the chorus section, and the chorus section itself, is just fucking awesome. I've listened to this so many times now lol. The ending is relentless, but I adore the song writing overall.
First time I’ve ever seen you even momentarily at a loss for words. Honestly, this song took my breath away when I first heard it. And I’m not usually not a fan of anything deathcore, but those black metal and symphonic metal influences were so delicious.
That fucking gunshot of a snare hit at 2:13 then everything else kinda leveling up into that percussive verse immediately after is goddamn insane too. Also their show “Live at the House of Independence” opens with this song. Fucking phenomenal audio, epic performance

I had never heard of this band until I watched the Music video for this right before this video and half way through this video had to go and preorder the EP. Thats how good it is. Looking forward to more from this band and had to hit subscribe for the awesome react video!

I never heard about them until they got will as a vocalist, but I've really enjoyed their music ever since I started listening to it. Growing up on original suicide silence, original BMTH, and whitechapel, this shit brought me back to my first days of listening to the really heavy dark stuff I enjoyed as a teenager.

Thanks for doing this all for us. We all just wanted to see you're reaction. Agree with everything you said they killed this on a whole different level. This may be my favorite Lorna Shore song ever, but we'll see how it ages. I think this might sound crazy but Will may have the biggest vocal repertoire in music with extreme vocal. When you go back and listen after the part where he turns into a snarling orc, he hits a whistle scream that I didn't even notice on first listen. The song is just nuts!
