Los Aguilares Anhelos 

My father was a migrant farm worker and he traveled from the Rio Grande Valle to the Lower Yakima valley year after year until they finally settled in Sunnyside, Washington in the 60’s. He brought with him the sound of conjunto and formed a band and went on to record some records. Moral of the story is: the farm workers who settled in this area pioneered some of the first songs to mimic those being played by Bands like conjunto bernal y tony de la rosa y los aguilares. Viva nuestro raza!

This was my uncle’s favorite song, he passed away in 2015 and now that I listen to it I get a tear in my eye.

I just got back from Edingburg texas but i live in arkansas but ill always feel like a texas soul. tht is where a lot of my family are at. Tejano music for life!!😝
