Yep, bass chords are a thing. They’re maybe not common to see, but any bassist worth their salt should know about them. The difficulty is that with the very low frequencies, the chords can sound too muddled, so they tend to be done in the higher registers. Also with only four strings and frets so far apart, the options can be limited. But they’re cool!
