This depiction of the nuclear explosion is so much more unsettling than the ones in Genesys. The latter just comes off as a CGI tech demo. This one is pure artistic horror.

Yeah this scene scared the shit out of me when I watched this movie as a kid. One of the greatest films ever made, hands down. Also, Sarah's commando drip when she comes out with the XM carbine is fuckin badass.

I've read this is one of the most accurate depictions of a nuclear strike, which is quite unsettling and terrifying to imagine. Hope it never comes down to this.

I like how you can hear the Terminator music when she approaches the house with her gun drawn.

I think in Terminator 1, Sarah drops a fork or something. She bends down to pick it up and the Terminator doesn't see her as he passes. Now Sarah's the terminator and that remote control toy car saved Dyson.

You see so much terrifying pain and psychological wounds inflicted upon her in T1. It all reflects here. She holds the fate of mankind in her palm, yet she could not lose her humanity.

This is a real horror scene from an action sci-fi movie like Terminator. Luckily, in the end, it was just a nightmare

ALL this theatrics meant NOTHING !! Judgement Day was the snowball already going downhill and picking up momentuem that was destined to run it's course. Killing Dyson wouldnt have made a bit of difference, which mirrors the speech Kyle Reese gave to the detectives in T1 : " WE won, killing John Connor would have made no diference, Skynet had to erase his whole existence". this scene is basically Skynet in the reverse side of his speech. now , it makes me really wonder why she didnt follow thru with killing him. Dyson was a pawn, but Skynet was a machine, and the even bigger machine was the lust of death created by man . Skynet, Sac-Noraid, CyberDyne Systems would have been created even with Dyson deceased. T3 pretty much contradicted the whole plot of T2. if anything, the T-1000 should have been sent back to protect Miles Dyson, not kill John Connor

This is one of the most accurate nuke scenes in a movie. As soon as it goes off and you are close enough, you burn. The heat travels as fast as the light. Let's hope that it never happens again. Just remember: It already happened twice in exactly this way almost 80 years ago to real people who really died in the very way shown here.
