It has been almost 2 weeks since the last plant and yet There are still lingering trophies Lassen around. Micro boils was all around the lake again. Stripers are definitely preying on what remains of the DFG's trout.
Nice job guys! Uncle Steve is the fish magnet. I was his apprentice in the fishing & duck hunting world. Sure do miss those good ole days of hunting and fishing together
The planted before Valentines day, planted 2k lbs Mt. Lassen trout. I'm not familiar with broomtails trout. I think because of last week bad weather, not so many anglers fish CC and we were lucky again to have caught a holdover 5+ pounders.
"Broom Tails" that's my description of recently stocked, hatchery raised trout that have "abreviated/wasted" tails from scrapping the bottoms and sides of concrete pens/traces.@@fishermanally
@@fishermanallyThanks for the info. I'm making a trip up to San Mateo next month to see pops and definitely want a few days on the lake. What type lures are you using when trolling?
Of course, Let's go. If you notice, Most of the anglers i'm with are my subscribers, then we become good friends. That's what my channel is all about, helping each other out and learn from each other. DM me to my fb " fisherman ally" or IG " fishermanally20" and will go from there.
Hello Guillermo, good to meet you recently at the lake. Trout are beginning to dry up so we worked hard trying Cove after Cove. Looking forward to more fish plants at this lake.! Uncle Steve
That depends on where you are going to use it... Offshore or just within the lakes. Let's say, just for the lakes, for a basic FF, Garmin or Lowrance $200+ would suite your needs depth range 100 or better. Then once you're familiar enough with the device, maybe invest to something better and advance. Remember, battery amps is your friend, the more amps the longer your device stays on. Hope this helps. Tight lines.
