I would also really like to see how you personally escape north south--and knee on belly. I don't know if you have covered a knee on belly escape yet, so I will do a search for that in case you have already covered it. Thank you!
You already basically train that way. But for anybody interested in training. I realy recommend the book 'move' by Rob gray. It's realy a game changer. People that do bjj already train that way. But it's nice to have science that backs it up. It realy gave me some new training concepts.
LOL great video. This one makes training partners unreasonably angry. I think it's because they feel like they're doing the "right" thing by framing, and then get tapped for it.
I was lucky enough to learn a whole wrist lock series from Fredson Piaxão years ago. Nothing unethical about it. I usually use it to threaten and set up other positions.
Max, I hit this constantly. It's my highest percentage sub because I love to takedown and pass, and then people are soooo lazy with that frame in side control. Bing Bop
I always teach this as a way to get my students to get a better frame and not be lazy with the frame. Also, I give my students a stripe if they hit this in competition.
Do you see him making any specific gi grips to make this technique work? I sure don't. So in that case, the answer to your question is "yes." If he was using a gi grip, then the answer would be either "no" or "no, you'll need to modify it". Make sense?
