But you feet and knees are so narrow and dependent on that balance that your opponent can just use place their hands on the floor to sweep you over and come out on top. I am not persuaded that this technique is the least bit useful for higher level competition or self defense JiuJitsu in any way.
Wrestling more important u need takedowns and take defence bc look at anderson silva vs chael sonnen, all chael had was the ability yo take him down with ease and he nearly won if not falling into the armbar
the magic sauce... that is a gold nugget right there. When you showed your preferred way to open the guard, that sweep was my immediate thought. I use that sweep effectively as well, but usually nobody does that to me. Now I know how to stop it before it ever happens. Thank you sir.
Hello DB, a very nice roll and analysis, which I fully enjoyed it. In the future, can you post this type of live rolling videos more often? Many thanks in advance!
funny how on the first and only day of my bjj training I tripped and took down a brown belt using that exact trick above, just hooking the leg from the outside in. of course after that I did not know what the fuck to do 😂😂😂 i learnt this trick from an online combat guy 😂. i hate wresting, very tiring.
I've been doing more ju-jistu with my freinds recently since we started a fight club together to start boxing and getting better at fighting since it's what we love but I'm a bigger guy around 280 boxing my friends who around most definitely 145-180, about two are my size and weight but I can't shoot a single or double leg to save my life and I really wish I didn't wrestling but I've started doing this were I'll clinch up with em and drag em down or trip em with me body weight and foot 😅😅😅
cool and all but idk why this sport and these moves are practiced so much.. i mean it’s no more useful in a real situation than shooting a FreeThrow in basketball , but cool move i suppose. I just wish all these dudes would stop acting like this is helping them IRL.
