Wfo racing has a really great mount with front and rear clamp i bought 2 from them and work really awesome

Very impressive build with the 5iveB. I like that conversion kit. When I was looking it was down to the TLR or the DDM conversion. Challenge accepted on the Hobao. My paint job looks nothing like that🤣😂 I'm still on my rattlecan specials😆 I've seen the old one you had but that new one looks amazing. I may have to do some late nights to get this truck going!

Yeah. Tim has painted all the Hobao bodies, pro fusion, and the smt10. I really enjoy painting, but I just don’t have the patience to do anything else but one or two colours.

I got the same skid plates on my DBXL-E which i need to seriously do an update on. Darkside studios makes some serious chassis protectors for the 1:5 scale peeps.

It sucks having the esc sitting on the batt box but that box might come in handy for a separate lipo for powering cooling fans ect.

thanks for the site man.. I just bought a 5ive-t 2.0 and looking to do some modifications and looking for good sites is a task. I want to enjoy the gas engine for a while and the longevity of run time before I convert to electric for speed and " reverse" lol. Im currently in the hunt for some dope wheels that clears the 5ive-t hubs, prefer something low profile and belted. any suggestions?

I just did a DBXL brushless conversion. I'm using the spektrum smart esc combo. (I got it for $200). Its a 160 amp esc and a 780 kv motor. Love these 1/5 scale rigs. With the castle system can you completely turn off the esc brakes and solely use the mechanical brakes?

love the 5five b but and i think you are right to notch and fit the esc where it is. I've been playing with the 1100kv in a dbxle and running 6s and gearing it up and its surprisingly fast you're saving battery weight running a single 6s over x2 4s . And staying under 30k rpm you get less friction heat to offset some of the amp heat the only downside is runtime. i can run at 49mph on grass with no heat issues i run 2 packs on 6s then throw a couple of 8s in on the same gearing for a 14mph speed increase but similar acceleration 2.85-2.95 132ft on grass

I'm running the M2C chassie on my kraten EXB as well as the braces are from custom RC they're all aluminum I'm able to send this thing to the moon and not have a problem anymore.

This is really cool, I'm going to buy a Losi 5ive-T 2.0 in the next couple of years and i might also do an electric conversion with either the Stupid RC or the Top Tuning Kit. My system will be a Max 4 ESC with 70125 560KV combo in next few years if i decide to go electric for the 5ive-T. I wonder if you still have the 5ive-B i would like to see it more and it's sad Losi\Horizon Hobby discontinued it. Hope you have a great next week happy bashing from Oklahoma.

There is this guy named Billy Morrish,. He's on Messenger. He does custom 3D printing. He makes custom mounts for RC. I bought a few of his mounts for my K8S-EXB and other motors. You can use the mounts to install your high power 12v fans on your motor. Give him a try. He may have a solution for your fan mounting issues.

Lots going on in this video 👀 Your K8S is looking rough 😂 M2C will be a great option for that chassis. I run a MMX8S with a hobbywing 1650 in my K6S. Runs ice cold and loads of power so you will enjoy that combo. The Losi is coming along nicely 👌

Yeah the k8s has defiantly seen better days. I think it's awesome that it was still running though. If I hadn't brought it up on the tailgate I would have kept running it.

Man that diff looks awkward as hell! LOL do you think there’s a possible way that you can modify it so it sits back further and more center and then just switch the position of those driveshafts coming off the diff so the rear is going to the front in the front is going to the rear? Obviously you’d have to make new motor mounting holes as well. But I have no idea what you would do with the ESC LOL

I have the same SkyRC dual fan setup, on my K8S-EXB. But, I replaced the stock fans with a pair of 12v 2028mm fans. They blow a lot more air. And, they can take some serious abuse. Maybe you should try and replace your stock fans with something similar? Nice collection bro. Enjoy your videos.

Which fans did you use? I was thinking about reusing the mount and replacing the fans.

@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs I used a pair of 4028 mm fans, from Aliexpress.com Here is the link. The only issue with ordering from aliexpress, it may take a while for delivery. I see amazon has the same fan for a lot more money, $22. They are the exact same diameter as the stock ones. The only issue I found is that these fans are a little taller than the stock ones. But they do fit in the mount. The angle of the front drive shaft will put lots of stress in the pin and the cups specially with electric.

RC cooling technology is really in its infancy compared to computer cooling technology. The RC industry really only started to encounter cooling problems since the proliferation of LiPos and brushless motors. Remember that RC cars are a million dollar toy industry while computers needing cooling is a trillion dollar industry. Look at how the PC gaming industry uses copper heat pipes with aluminum heat sinks with fans to cool CPUs and GPUs as an inspiration to your RC cooling problems.
