Great Video, what do you recommend for up grades on the Kraken ? Any things right out the box? Or is it pretty good stock ? Other then the engine. Great Video 👍.. love the 5T as well
I enjoy my 5T. I like that i can run it full throttle the whole time and control it how i want. Ive only ever flipped it once in the few years ive had it. I kid you not, i use full throttle on the 5T than any other RC i own as it can handle it. Drives like you said too, like a 1/10 scale.
Whats up brother, is that engine stocl on the losi 32cc? also if it is stock. How would it compare is sclae to the losi 5t because that vekta TT looks small i wonder if the Vekta.5 is the same size in comparison to the to the losi. Great vids great throttle nice angles awesome! i have the DBXL2.0 but want to upgrade
What about the FID VOLTZ Warhammer I'm curious how that 1/5 trophy truck would stand up to these. Look them up their badass RC's right up your alley with how epic and awesome yours are. There's also the JDM 199 Dragon Slayer Quake Racing model its a KOH vehicle maybe you'd like that one too. Either way great video I want both now lol can't wait to see the follow up.
Seems like the 5T is a bit more fun to drive; but if you collect these as pieces of art or have an appreciation for design etc. the Kraken is a very cool and still very drivable RC truck though it clearly requires much more careful control. The 5T seems like you can just nail it over the terrain and ram the throttle and it stays nice and stable. I wonder how the Kraken Vekta.5 would do by comparison. Looking forward to the MCD as well ... I was really interested in finding out what you had to say on these trucks.
Where did you get the metal roll cage, looks awesome. Taylor makes some hot motors. Any other hopup parts you can tell me about would be appreciated. Thanks for video.
Great video, great fun. In regards to1/5 scale RCs, I'm prepping to purchase my first...but, it won't be a 4x4. Originally, I was going to get the HPI Baja 5B SBK kit...but, after doing research, and gaining a better understanding of how much upgrading they require, I've decided to get the Kraken VESLA.5 2WD. The only question I'm having right now is 'which' variant to go with. I could get a roller, and add my own electronics; I could get the 'old' 8S electric version; or, I could get the 'new' 12S electric version, but opt for the 800kv motor (the "standard" is with 650kv), and run it on 8S. The 'idea' is to make this a birthday gift (in 3 months) to myself. I'd be interested in the gas version, but.......... I've considered getting gas RCs...but, in regards to actually getting one (it more), I have two major problems. The first, and the biggest, problem is "no reverse". While all surface electric RCs have reverse, gas-powered RCs seem to be missing this very important ability. The second is lack of something similar to LVC. In electric RCs, when the voltage gets low, LVC "kicks in", slowing the vehicle to approx half it's max speed. This is a safety feature, letting you know the batteries are low, and giving drivers the ability to safely bring it in before it 'dies'. With gas (and nitro) vehicles, the closest you might (I say "might", because it's not 'guaranteed') get is the engine 'sputtering'...and, even then, there might not be enough fuel left to bring the vehicle back in. In most cases, from what I've seen, the engine 'dies' wherever the vehicle is, and you have to do the "walk of shame" to retrieve it. If these two 'problems' could be "fixed", then I'd LUV to have at least one gas-powered RC.
I like the gas versions a bit better for the fun and realistic factor a tank lasts a very long time i wouldn't worry too much about it. Most rc race cars have no reverse but yes if reverse is an issue for you go electric !
I wonder when one of these companies will come up with a direct drive multi speed manual transmission so the power is transferred to the rear wheels IMMEDIATELY
