Losi Lasernut U4 tire test.

I took the Lasernut out for a test run on some different tires. I tried out some old ProLine Trenchers and some 5.57” Crawler tires from Hobby-Soul. In conclusion the stock tires are probably best for high speed and the Hobby-Soul Bead Lock tires work just fine at 50%. Great for exploring and getting over things but the hub is not really compatible with the Losi. I had to install some thicker wheel hex to space the hub off the bearings and it’s held up so far but I don’t recommended it.

Hey RC, another video masterpiece! You must spend a lot of time getting all these different views and editing them out. The Lasernut seems like a great offroader, although the name is a little "unfortunate" though,lol.

Thanks my good friend. As for my editing I do the best I can. I recently bought a new computer to replace my old one and it's called the "OMEN" should have been called bad omen. The video card must be the problem but it makes it hard to edit but I push hard to try and get my cuts but the lag is intolerable. As for my camera angles I usually go with 3 cameras and place them at different angles. I filled this with a DJI Action 2 on a selfie stick. Super cheap and small camera and it shoots 4k at a higher frame rate than my Go Pros. I will probably take more time on my next video. I think I will post shorts for a while and work on perfecting a video with a plot. I always rush my post to try and keep the channel going. Your kind words and complement drive me to do more. @@RCRoads Yeah video really puts a strain on the GPU. I usually put a fan on my laptop when Davinci Resolve is doing its rendering. I'll be watching for your next masterpiece.

@@RCWalletVacuum Indeed. I could get a new power supply for my old computer or perhaps move the video card over and pray. lol Davinci Resolve works good for me. Easy to navigate and has plenty of features that I have not explored yet.

Thanks. I'm really getting into the Lasernut. It's a new RC for me so I'm kind of babying it right now. It's not really a basher or that good for going off jumps but it sure can blast over a trial with it's tall tires.

Thanks for watching. I'm very inspired by your videos and I'm loving the U4. I'm testing out some Proline Super Swampers right now. They are 5.7" tires just like the original tires. I don't even think I'll drive my other cars much. As a matter of fact I should be getting a 2nd one delivered tomorrow. I would imaging for the price of $350 each they are probably older ones with diff issues but I have no idea. So far this one is holding up well. If one breaks I can still drive while I work on the other one.

That remains a very cool RC to see. Also very well filmed. 🆒🆒🎦👌👍Today I was playing outside in a park with my Losi Hamer Rey. Unfortunately it has rained so much here that there is a lot of mud. Played for an hour and spent two hours getting RC free of mud and clay. 🤣But even in the rain I still had some fun with an RC. Greetings Jos 👋🍀

Thanks so much for the nice comment. The Losi Hamer Rey is a real nice rig. It must look awesome in the mud. I think by next winter there will be some water and mud in my area. Great video, Robert!! Awesome shots on 2 wheels, and the jumps right next to the camera look really great!! Sorry it's been so long- as you know, I got divorced after a 25 yr. marriage 2 yrs ago. Well, I got a text from an old high school girlfriend asking me how I was. I replied- I just lost 115 pounds! (Meaning the ex-wife) lol. So we kept on talking, she was in New Mexico working ( hospital lab scientist ) on contract, but fixing to move back home to Mississippi ( a 2 hr drive away ). I had no idea if she just wanted to remain friends, or get serious, then she tells me she's loved me since we first dated and never stopped. So I got my ass to New Mexico as fast as I could, stayed with her until time to move, then moved her back home. I feel like a kid again! If only my body did, I'd be set! Lol! I needed the break, it did good to get out. Now I'm back home taking care of mom during the week while my girlfriend works, but we see each other on weekends. I see you got the holy grail! - the Lasernut. That is one bad beast, Robert!! I know have to be happy! I've only seen this first video on it so far, but man it looks great! ... & the typhon grom!- that little joker looks cool! Just wanted to let you know I'm still alive and kicking. Keep up the great work on the videos! It's a ton of work, I know, but you're putting out top-shelf material‼️👍👍🦾🦾

I was wondering how you were. I really missed our discussions. This is awesome news. I divorced about 7 years ago and I totally understand. Finding someone that is compatible is not always easy. Everything has been going good here. My dog is on his last leg as his trachea is collapsing as he ages and he struggle to breath. He's 18 now so he had a full life. The girlfriend wont let me put him down yet. The vet gave me some meds for him but it's just a matter of time. No worries if you can't chat much any more. I know how it goes in a "new" relationship as well. Women are needy at times but we love them. 👍 Thanks for stopping by you made may day. 😁

Is it the offset from the tires, or are you running axl extenders? That's the only thing about the lasernut I didn't like and thought if it were only a bit wider, yours looks about right!

Thanks for the input. These tires came with enough offset to clear the hubs and they didn't need to be extended. The only issue I had was that the stock wheel hexes are relatively thin and the stock wheels have a real shallow hex slot for them to go into. The wheel hubs that came with these bead locks rubbed against the bearing and the movement so I solved that by adding thicker wheel hexes. I also picked up some 5.7" Proline Super Swampers and Impulse rims. They rubbed and I needed extenders. I'm working on a video now of the U4 Lasernut and it should be done soon. It would be nice to go wider or perhaps just go with some Trenchers or Badland tires as they are wider and not so tall. I just learning about the car and have always wanted one. I like this one so much I bought a black one. Now I'm broke and happy. They only cost me $350 each brand new so it's not really a super big investment. The guy sold 99 of them so I'm thinking they are older ones with diff issues but so far they are running fine on 3s.
