RC intern learning and having fun. Thanks for stopping by. Most of my driving is off road and I am learning as I go. I try to balance my driving for maximum pleasure and limited breakage. I want this channel to be about the viewer’s so your comments and suggestions help me to make better videos. Don’t forget to like, subscribe and hit the bell.
Interesting that you asked. The location is apparently where a bridge washed out many years ago. There is a house and support buildings for a large area with walk ways going around a big pond. A Big property meticulously maintained. Lots of geese and beautiful rose gardens. If I was to jam my lasernut up to and over the top of the hill I'd be in their yard. I should film it and the sheep on the property to the south. Not everything is haunted. lol 😁
I'm pushing hard to redeem it standing as a decent RC. The black one will come out next. It would be nice if Losi sent me a Super Lasernut to test out. ha ha ....
Great video, Robert!! Awesome shots on 2 wheels, and the jumps right next to the camera look really great!! Sorry it's been so long- as you know, I got divorced after a 25 yr. marriage 2 yrs ago. Well, I got a text from an old high school girlfriend asking me how I was. I replied- I just lost 115 pounds! (Meaning the ex-wife) lol. So we kept on talking, she was in New Mexico working ( hospital lab scientist ) on contract, but fixing to move back home to Mississippi ( a 2 hr drive away ). I had no idea if she just wanted to remain friends, or get serious, then she tells me she's loved me since we first dated and never stopped. So I got my ass to New Mexico as fast as I could, stayed with her until time to move, then moved her back home. I feel like a kid again! If only my body did, I'd be set! Lol! I needed the break, it did good to get out. Now I'm back home taking care of mom during the week while my girlfriend works, but we see each other on weekends. I see you got the holy grail! - the Lasernut. That is one bad beast, Robert!! I know have to be happy! I've only seen this first video on it so far, but man it looks great! ... & the typhon grom!- that little joker looks cool! Just wanted to let you know I'm still alive and kicking. Keep up the great work on the videos! It's a ton of work, I know, but you're putting out top-shelf material‼️👍👍🦾🦾
I was wondering how you were. I really missed our discussions. This is awesome news. I divorced about 7 years ago and I totally understand. Finding someone that is compatible is not always easy. Everything has been going good here. My dog is on his last leg as his trachea is collapsing as he ages and he struggle to breath. He's 18 now so he had a full life. The girlfriend wont let me put him down yet. The vet gave me some meds for him but it's just a matter of time. No worries if you can't chat much any more. I know how it goes in a "new" relationship as well. Women are needy at times but we love them. 👍 Thanks for stopping by you made may day. 😁
My Lasernut's drive cups and dogbones are broken. It seems like years of wear and tear have taken their toll. I have the replacement parts ready, so I'll repair it and then head out to shoot some awesome footage!😁Great video, my friend!👍
Thanks for checking it out. So far mine is holding up fine. I just haven't ran it that much. The only thing broken so far is the front bumper. I have no idea how the cups and diffs will hold up but I plan on running mine quite a bit because it's just so fun to drive.
Cool to see the RCs in action at this location. Also well filmed. 🎦👌👍 I always find that the hardest to drive and film at the same time. Especially when it concerns fast RCs. Cool location. Greetings Jos 👋🍀
Thanks for watching. I totally agree about driving and filming. I enjoy both but not at the same time. It's difficult when your all by yourself and trying to do a good job of both. I have seen some great videos shot with a cell phone but having a camera man would be nice. I use my GoPro's and some times an old DSLR. I'm still learning how to get a decent video without injecting myself into the mix. I really don't like getting in front of a camera that much.
Thanks for watching. My eyesight is not the best but I'm probably 200 yards out at times. I ran the U4 out and then brought it to a stop. Then I backed ups some and started the next section of the video and lined things up in post. I tried to make it look like a continues run. In the rough areas I was actually running behind my car. At 66 years old totally out of shape. It's a hell of a work out in the heat but It cost nothing and was good for me. lol
@RCRoads not a problem, i love rc just like you, i will be taking a bit of a break soon to check out all the subscribers and videos i watched that helped me through the journey, with age comes wisdom and experience which you have, and skills, you're video was edited excellent 👍👍 cos i know you can use a go pro connect it to your phone, and drive away as long as your signal will allow, so hats off to u for running 🏃♂️ like the running man, and keeping healthy, Rc brother 🤝👍👍🫵
That would be cool. I have been kind of down for a bit due to the heat and my poor dog needing attention. He is like 18yrs old and his trachea is collapsing so he struggles to get air. My Wife says no to putting him down yet so it's difficult because he struggles so much at nigh and the noise has kept me awake. He is on meds now and is improving but as the Vet said it only gets worse for them as the cartilage rings break down. In other words no cure. Of course I am grateful for having him for so long. My next video might be shot in my back yard at night if the mosquitos don't get me. I was thinking to do a video of some of my trucks going off jumps to see how many cars they could clear. Experiment with lighting and framing the shots. Then I might go back to the skate park with a couple of different cars.
@@RCRoads Sorry to hear about your dog. Its tough to make that decision, you don't want to let them go, but you don't want them to suffer. Good luck buddy
@@RCWalletVacuum Thanks my good friend. We all go at some point and he's had a great life. Hope all is well on your end. Can't wait to see what your up to with your awesome creations.

Hey RC, glad to see you made it out of the tunnels alive, i bet some "real creatures" reside in there at times! Your motor mods look like they performed real well
My dreams are crushed. lol I think it's all up to the individual. I only paid $350 for them brand new in the box. If you were to buy the parts separately including the radio, it's worth it. So far I have had 4 days of pleasure with no breakage. I'm actually an Arrma fan even though my Typhon and Granite both broke the first day out. Shock and drive shafts broke on both cars. Even my MT-10 was breaking on me. the Lasernut has been fine so far. I'm hope Losi will read this and send me one to test. ha ha
On a technical note, i find it interesting how the frame rate on your camera coincides with the tire rotation to make it look like your tires are not rotating, especially at the creek bed and just after it
I will have to look at that more closely. The buggy was bouncing all over and the old GoPro did a fine job of stabilization. The audio was terrible as the tape that was holding on the camera was flopping around.
It goes a lot farther than I can run after the car. I was tired after this run. Run the car .. jog to catch up with it ... restart camera and kind of make it look like a continuous run in post. I need to put more time into it and find some contestants for the Murrieta 500 run.
Thanks for checking it out. Old Hero 8 with a real bad cracked rear screen but it keeps going. I would hate to put a good camera on board. I also have a Hero 9 and it's fine and a DJI Action 2 and it was the least expensive but is also 4k but at 120fps. I think the Hero 8 is actually my favorite.
yup TOO HOT out ..early morning bash sessions here in the N.WEST too....!! car is taking a beating..what a champ..havent run one of these yet..what are the cons..??
Thanks for checking it out. The Lasernut has been doing excellent for me so far. Compared to my 3s Typhon or Granite it's just not breaking. Everyone mentions the diffs being garbage. I don't know yet. I'm just running 3s and keeping the break setting low. I'll get them out more and push them the best I can. Someone said that doing donuts all the time will wear out the diffs. So far the cups look good. DogBones are straight and suspension arms are fine. Aluminum chassis is totally straight as well as the shock towers. Even the body and lights are holding up. I really do like it.
Thanks for checking it out. It seems to perform the same with flips. I usually don't nail the landing either way. I did manage to pull off a double front flip and land badly but the Granite has no problem flipping even with the Typhon arms..
Hey RC, cool skate parks! When i was a skateboard obsessed teenager some "80 years ago" i would have loved to have access to both places. Them are some tough vehicles considering what their landing on
I should get out to Lake Elsinore more often. My Son lives there and funny thing is that his name is Brian and so is my middle name. So were all connected in a strange way. lol I never really considered an RC boat but you could have some real fun on the lake. They also have a full on motor sports park there. ATV's Drag racing Moto cross. It's all there. About a 15 minute drive from my house. Thanks for watching my good friend.
@@RCRoads I was so jealous when i saw the Lake Elsinore sign because when i was growing up in the 70's/80's i loved motocross and Lake Elsinore was the Mecca of motocross, hell Honda named their first motocross bike the CR125 Elsinore. Lucky you!
@@RCWalletVacuum They still do motocross there. I guess there is 7 tracks to choose from inside the park. I should just go there and check it out. Open Wednesday Friday Sat & Sunday.
Thanks for watching. I normally take 3 action cams when I go out. I mount my 2 GoPros on small tripods and hope they catch some action and I have a DJI Action 2 that I keep mounted to my radio and try and direct it towards the car. It's probably more effective to wear the camera on your head than your radio but I just find it uncomfortable.
