this truck oooozes gil losi jr. since hes been back at horizon, thank god helping them out. you can see gils racing history and the monster truck history built in. now everyone wants a brushless 5th scale version. nice video. losi gets the hits watches.
+1 Losi... this thing is an absolute beast... well done! +2 when our Young Francis gets the giggles on an new RC, Everyone needs to take notice...!!!! Thank You Francis.. love the review... Losi just keep making us froth every few months hey!!!
Yeah just got mine got the gravedigger, it is awesome plenty of power. Land jumps so smooth doesn’t bounce all over just soaks it in, appreciate you sharing as always
I run mine with a Spectrum DX5, Holmes Hobbies V3 servo and Puller Pro R 540-L V2 Rock Crawler Motor 2700kv. Castle Mamba Monster X ESC. With 3s it's a handful. At 1/4 speed a full throttle punch will stand it on the wheelie bar right up to full speed. On 4s it will do standing flips, wheelie so hard at half throttle that it'll flip and it'll run 42mph with stock gearing. I'm waiting on a Losi 25t servo saver. It's literally exploded 1/8 servo savers and reamed the teeth out of aluminum servo horns with pinch bolts. I'm running a proline 3427-00 crew cab ram body.
Nice review as usual 👍. Looks nice with the Bronco body. Would like to see some videos trying it where you make some backflips and all that kind of stuff that we all would do with it
@@christiansrcs7789 I don’t know! I’m really excited about it though!! I’m going to try and use a special camera for my 100 subscriber special! And I’ll try your horizontal filming technique! 😁😁
Video molto interessante ed utile sicuramente hai descritto bene le varie caratteristiche di questo mostro incredibile..sto pensando di acquistarlo 🤔🤔🤔..
I bought mine as soon as it was released. It is very stout and a lot of parts look very similar to RCs some people would be used to. I've not used mine yet as it is far too cold for me thus far. Before I run mine I want to convert it to 4 wheel steering and put the 4s capable Lasernut motor into it. This thing from what I've seen is nearly indestructable. The axles break but are aluminum axles already out for it. Until a half hour ago I've never seen anyone break anything else. Was a broken 4 link end. As far as servo goes, there is a 25 tooth servo saver being released so you won't have to find a 23 tooth or run without a servo saver.
I think with some aftermarket billet axle housings the losi is a great off the shelf monster truck. I have seen several housings break, but I'm sure people are beating them senseless. The 3 piece pinion side of the axle housing is a very poor design, i was surprised to see it.. im sure people are abusing them for sure but breaking axle housings is a no no. Driveshafts, some cage parts that is all expendable stuff, but the housings need to stay in one piece, and i suppose i mean that literally, ha. Your rig looks good with the bronco body. The torque dampened is a nice feature, I cant imagine running those tires without it, old design but no need to change it. Looks just like the internal of a rear motorcycle hub.
That truck is awesome not a grave digger fan I loved the avenger truck and then game changer Jim kohler came out with the 57 Chevy my all time favorite. Please rc gods come out with the 57 Chevy body I might have to sell a body part to afford lol.
I really like these trucks and plan on picking 1 up later on but my first mod is gonna be wheels and tires and ditching that wheelie bar in the back. I don't get why they did the 2.6/3.6 style wheel and tire as it completely ruined the scale look in my opinion. Other then that I think they really did a good job on this truck.
Everything is sick as can be.....but I just can’t get over the wheels. Makes it look like something that got scooped up at Walmart. The tires are sick as far as tread but the Walmart wheel just doesn’t do it for me and that is literally the reason I haven’t bought one yet. Can’t change the wheels because of the way it’s setup. Everything else is beautiful though.
Hey Francis I’m seriously considering buying either the losi lmt or the axial smt10? Money is not part of my worries as much as durability and parts availability. What would be your choice?!
Is this thing a lot more durable then the Axial? I saw some reviews on the Axial and it seemed pretty fragile which is disappointing. I have my TRX-4 but tho6a monster truck would be awesome for my kids but if they can obliterate it with mild bashing that sucks. The Losi SEEMS like it has some stout axles.
After watching ccxrc run his.. there are weak points but it's a huge difference between this vs the smt10.. which is okay in stock but to go bigger. Tyres brushless.. it will then need a chunk load of money to get it to be bulletproof... Especially if you're truly using it like a real monster truck... The Losi from what I remember the wheelie bar had an issue but think that was a one off.. the diffs were the issue cracking.. to which he tried a carbon fibre brace. Which saved the differentials but not the brace. He now has treal RC diffs. Which took the punishment..
Axle housing Jessica it holds the diffs and axles , I broke mine too but more or less from being cold , those treal axles cost almost as much as the roller . 180 a pop , I just beefed mine up with epoxy on the insides
@@paulclancy2404 I've been looking at the Scx24 . Costs more than the car to go aluminium diff housings. Transmission. The overdrive. Shocks beadlocks pretty much buying a full car. And more.. . It's like looking at vanquish products $$$..
Pretty sweet! I think I'd do the Reefs Raw 500- thing is crazy responsive. I have a Protek 170sbl in my Lasernut that would probably do great too. I'd lean toward the roller, but I think it'd be lower down my list after a couple other crawler builds.
No kit for losi either roller or rtr. Roller is better because all the electronics will need upgraded any way. The servo sucks and the motor cogs really bad on the rtr.
650 ur better off Is with complete truck. the body alone is over 100 and the motor and ecc is worth 150 u can use it for something that it is good for. Out of every video u have This is the only thing I disagree with you on 😞 sorry bro rollers are way too expensive you're better off buying a complete truck and you can have the extra parts for something else You could even take the motor in ESC and trade it up or put some cash with it and get a better one. It would be a different story if the manufacturer just Subtracted what it cost for those parts that they don't give you Which is what they should be doing some of these rollers is just straight highway robbery.
