I legit cried. I hate watching nuzlockes/games with perma-killer characters, because it’s too emotional. You gain this partner, this person by your side, who sacrificed themselves for you to win. And when you lose them, it was either not their time, or for a selfless cause. For me, I develop an actual bond with characters, pokemon being no exception. If they faint, I get mad. If I do a nuzlocke, I’d actually fucking cry so much. It hurts even more because I have dogs, and I’d rather die for them than them for me. I get too emotional with animals, even typing this out made me want to burst into tears

You could have probably used this advice earlier, but all (non boss) trainer pokemon have 0 ivs, so all their hidden power will always be fighting.

@@brennanruiz1803 Post part 3? Because I only know of ones named after singers, bands, albums, just all music stuff. Part 3 are the tarot cards and 9 Egyptian gods. I looked it up and every stand sence (if going by their OG names and not Americanized names like Sex Pistols into Six Bullets) are music references and still a lot of characters are as well. Apparently he finds it funny when Japanese people try to say American band names, this makes me love his work even more then before. (Note I read that last bit but am not sure if it is true, I just hope it is.)

No. He needs to save that for the outro of the very last episode. It'll be more potent, and show that he never forgot any of them. Doing it now or any earlier would be a waste. It'd be like a tally on the wall, and have no meaning.

15:28 I love the subtle add of looming danger with the music and the knowledge of OHKO moves being there and having a chance of killing the whole team like that. Pro tips - OHKO moves won't work under the following circunstances: 1. If the move Fissure is used against a Flying/Levitating Pokémon, it won't work (Uneffective). Levitate, however, is ignored if the attacking mon is a Mold Breaker. 2. Any and all OHKO moves will fail if the attacker is a single level below the affected Pokémon.

I love how you do zoom ins on both deaths and close calls. It makes it so much more tense each time a Pokémon gets low, instead of just saving it for when it’ll definitely die and we all know ahead of time what happens

Seeing Jo's agony whenever one of his companions "die" is just heartbreaking, as much as his abject terror whenever health goes into the yellow is enough to give me heart problems. I'm now more invested in this saga than I am with some of my favorite TV series. I WANT JO'S BABIES TO SUCCEED. SPORK WILL BE REMEMBERED AS A HERO... ... I love your edits and adorably cheerful personality despite being in the face of abject, permanent death. This guy is just... I can't think of words that aren't synonymous with "adorable" or "uplifting".

My goodness, this is a pretty good Nuzlock, I'm tempted to just watch the full stream, but the edited version is pretty great quality, and I L.O.V.E the animated title, it's the perfect way to start and end every episode, and it feels very much like an animoo in that way.

Jo, I want you to know, this series and the apparent fun you have had with it is what encouraged me to try a Nuzlocke on what is probably my favorite Pokemon game, Emerald. I would have done my first game, but getting a “copy” of Crystal is surprisingly difficult.

I am enjoying this nuzlocke so much. Normally they really stress me out (I basically treat my games like nuzlockes except when a pokemon dies I turn the game off and put it under my bed for two days then start that section over oops anxiety) but your attitude and the fun editing details make this feel more like a difficult version of the game game rather than a chore for you.

Doorknob had 8 health on switch. Doorknob took 7 dmg from magical leaf. We will have to believe that it was a low roll and we still made the correct choice sacrificing Spork.
