That incomplete magazine mod was just psychotic. I don't reload at every opportunity but I still think the guy who put that in is a lunatic. And just gotta love that Kruglov babysitting. I also think this mod broke something else. Enemies can be spongy as hell but this is ridiculous and not normal on those zombies.
He's straight up using some sort of OGSR or something, that I can tell for sure judging by the tankyness of bots, some inventory items & the fact Barkeeper is able to repair guns 😁
@@WaveysGamingAdventure it does say "OGSR-OGSR Repair" in the lower left corner of the main menu right next to the patch version, so I guess those guys have put their Absolute HD mod on top of SoC OGSR repack. Anyway, we can clearly see that damage dealing is just totally broken here when silenced Makarov frags more efficiently than spraying with Strelok's AK, lol, not to mention the absolute BS happening with a double-barrelled shotty
@@WaveysGamingAdventure check out some patches, alter the game files, whatever. Cos like the guy above says, this is pretty much broken & unplayable imo. Maybe even dump this mod & go back to vanilla with bug fixes?
I was literally playing Clear Sky, man vanilla clear sky... the guns.. the enemies.. well I recommend stockpiling on bandages and upgrading the weapons IF YOU decide to play clear sky, it's pretty important! either way I love STALKER videos, you make the best ones man!
Friend, I watched this video and I have to give some advice and comments, so - you are in too much of a hurry, and you go on missions not equipped and armed enough, you also ignore the many free caches, with meds, I also advise you to assign to the "hotkey" a quick the use of a first aid kit, for example, on the side keys of the mouse, optical sights for assault rifles will help not only save your ammunition, but will generally increase your combat effectiveness, few people know, but in the vanilla Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl, there is a hidden mechanic, yes, if an NPC gets injured , and falls, releasing the weapon from his hands, then in 99% this weapon will be completely new, (1% that it will be damaged by an accidental shot or an explosion), as when searching a corpse you do not find cartridges for the main weapon, (shotgun , assault or sniper rifle), then carefully examine the weapon next to him - there is a good chance to get an intact weapon. I see you are playing with a mod, based on OGSR, this mod has one interesting thing - the loot in the caches that drop out when searching the corpses varies depending on the level of the killed - from the "newbie" and from the "master" the same cache contains loot of different levels.
Feel free to install any damage mods or edit the files yourself, since the mods you are using make the enemies bullet spongier. Also the stash in the cellar is at the attic iirc.
I like that we've been spoiled by how Call of Pripyat had much more realistic damage that we've gladly forgotten how much damage enemies can take in OG SOC PS: Surprised that you forgot that you could Trade a proper rifle for Kruglov, because when he's equipped with one he's an actual BEAST
I know this because I played this game 2 months ago with only 2 mods that enhances only the guns and the characters' 3d models but not the game mechanics. Your enemies in shaddow of chernobyl are bullet sponges, on hard difficulty, it will take you 6 head shots to register a death. 25 rounds to the body parts to drop them dead. I had 800 9mm rounds that I took from the boxes on the tower of the vehicle cemetery, I used them all in garbage and the dark valley.
Tbh, I find that when enemies are in CQC and they don't go down to a gun within seconds, I swap to my knife and go for the face. Works every time from OG STALKER to modded COP to Anomaly to Wind of Time Never underestimate an actual melee weapon. Might help a lot here too, I feel, even with bullet spongy enemies. If nothing else, might stunlock to death (like how I killed Monolith Masters in Anomaly early game)
the game plays a lot more tactically when you modify the damage numbers to be around 1.8. This makes the enemy react in a more believable way to damage and lowers the time to kill. Best to use Anomaly for this. Also, play on the hardest difficulty as this reduces the enemy's health/increases damage.
Hardest difficulty lowering enemy health is an urban legend when it comes to Stalker SoC. Neither you do more, you do actually less damage and the enemies can take more damage. You're talking about some other game. I mean, I'm so freaking done with this urban legend that won't die out 😂
Wavey you missed the best pistol in the game? There's a unique pistol where you found the family rifle/freeman body in a box literally shoots rifle rounds. Best of luck stalker!
I used to run circles around this game on master difficulty as a pre teen, theres 0 chance this game is not modded to be this hard, they should not be such bullet sponges heheh
I usually stash excess loot in the nearby stash (mostly near the exit to the next location) and then may later return to it. Might check that mod because it let you fill stashes with loot instead of getting them randomly from corpses. Balance in this mod is wack and sorry that you have to suffer through this... That stash in the car park in Cordon was under the roof, no idea why it was badly translated.
Gamedata/config/external.ltx Some file that specifies all these "additional" mods that can be set true/false. Found something related to "reloads" and changed it to false. BOOM.
Just a heads-up, the original games and mods are designed around the "master" difficulty, so if you want to avoid bullet sponge enemies, try playing at the highest difficulty. You'll die more quickly, but your enemies will too. But great video man can't wait for you to play Call of Pripyat ❤
@@requis200 This is not true. This is a misconception that has already been debunked through Data mining. The higher the difficulty the more damage and resistance enemies have, and the player actor has less resistance too. Meaning, the higher the difficulty, more bullet spongy are the enemies.
@GuiMaster10Mil damn, guess I have a unique version where the master fixes the bullet spongey enemies, also it's a fact that most mods for og and Anomaly are balanced around master difficulty Gunslinger, abr series, efp, gamma etc
