my mum was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer a few weeks ago, shes my rock. She's going through chemo currently and is shaving her hair tomorrow. My dad shaved his head today to support her. i wish you the best of luck in your emotional recovery.

I commented on your video that you explained about what your mom was going through. I talked about how my mom fought breast cancer for 2 years and passed away this January. I know how hard it is to see your mom on pain drugs and watching her slowly die. I went through the exact same thing and waited for my mom to pass after they disconnected her from all the meds. It’s very traumatizing for anyone... I recommend going to counseling and staying positive. I’m so sorry for your loss, losing a mother is the hardest thing that you will go through in life. You’re not alone, everything will be okay.

I'm going through the same thing with my mum right now. She has secondary bowel cancer which has spread to her liver and spine. It's hard to stay positive sometimes... especially when I'm only 17 and I can't do the same things as my friends do with their mums anymore. She doesn't have much energy at all and can't do much even though she tries her best. Up until now i've been quite optimistic too but it's getting harder every day. Especially when my sister and dad are struggling as well. Obviously it's not in a good way at all, but it's a really nice feeling to know that there's other people, especially young people like me, who I can relate to. So thank you so much for sharing this video. You are so so strong. ♥️

Lexie, I also lost a parent last year in February. People would always tell me that with time “things will get better”, but looking back now I think that’s probably the worst advice one could give. Time doesn’t heal anything, your healing is dependant on how you take care of yourself in the coming months. I also dove myself into my schoolwork when my father passed, but I definitely regret that as it hit me extremely hard during the summer (when we would normally spend together). You are very lucky to have ended things on good terms with her and that you got to say a proper and loving goodbye. I didn’t have that opportunity with my father and the last time I saw him (hours before he unexpectedly passed) still haunts me to death. You are so beautiful and strong. Your mom would be very proud of you and the strong bond that the both of you shared was so apparent to all your viewers. Much love.

My condolences to you and your family. I'm going through it now and find watching these videos, it helps me to know I'm not alone. Mom just died in January 2019, and reaching out to those going through or having gone through the year of firsts without mom, is comforting. My siblings don't care, truly and that hurts a lot. Mom was never sick and to see her in the sickness that killed her was devastating to me. God bless you and your family and all going through losing a mom. May our moms RIP.

Sorry for your loss, Lexie. I unfortunately know how you feel. I also lost my mom back in 2010 when I was 24. She died of kidney failure after being on dialysis for 10 years. It was, without a doubt, one of the most horrible experiences of my life. These days I try to remember all the happy times I had with her, but it’s very hard. She’ll never see me get married or meet my kids etc., but on the plus side, at least we got to know our mom. Some people never get to meet their mom, they don’t have a good mom and/or they don’t have a good relationship with her. Lots of love to you and your family. May your mom rest in eternal peace.

This is so sad. I was tearing up through the entire thing. I'm so sorry this happened. It's one of the few times I can honestly relate and say that I know what you are going through, as I lost my father to cancer four years ago and what you described here was very similar. But you are handling this a lot better than I did. You are very strong, so you are going to be okay. Make sure you don't hide your feelings and talk to people about this when you need to. Go on to do great things as a way to honor your mother.

my mom recently had a cancer scare (also endometrial) and we're waiting for the biopsy results at the moment. They don't think it's cancer but there's always that uncertainty and it's the scariest feeling in the world. Hugs.

I lost my mom to cancer in 2017 and it has been very hard. I was thankful that like you I got to be with my mom for several days at the hospital before she passed away.
