when someone gets angry at the skatepark, i dont really care too much, in fact i kinda feel them and always give them the benefit of the doubt because ive been there😭
I always use my warm up as a barometer for the day's session, so, if the warm up was rough, I try to give myself a bunch of grace in the actual session. It helps me avoid a lot of unnecessary anger.
That board throw reminded so much of the old THU2 freakouts. No need to apologise, this does prove you are human rather than constantly happy and cheerful.
I always feel so embarrassed when I get angry at the skatepark. Every time something scary or frustrating happens I just scream like crazy, even tho nothing really happened (its just the easiest way to move on and not keep all the anger inside) its always been hard for me to control it, but I'm working on it.
Skateboarding is one of those things where I count my blessings. If I can’t land a new trick or nail it consistently then I will either go back and do tricks I know I can do that build confidence. When I was younger I would break boards and get angry easily. Just be happy with what you can do and if you get frustrated try something and then get back to it. Never give up and try to not be discouraged.
Funny enough the first time I ever saw you skating in person you were absolutely losing your mind trying to switch heel some skatepark 5 stair. Lmfao. It was a random skatepark in Ohio and I didn’t know you had moved there so it caught me super off guard that you were there in the first place. I remember thinking if I should say what’s up then you roll up and miss the trick and go absolutely mental. I thought to myself “maybe not right now”😂😂
I skate alone most of the time & have an awful habit of taking my anger out on my boards. I know for a fact I wouldn’t do this if people were around, but it still is genuinely embarrassing even if no one sees it. I feel dumb afterwards, & have to deal with the repercussions. I’ve skated for maybe 2 years and have broken at least 20 boards by now. I’m not even good enough to be stomping my decks the way I do 🤣. I’ve gotten better as I discovered it really is better to just move onto something else when your session isn’t going as planned. I’ve learned a bunch of new tricks doing this and have broken way less boards. Give yourself 10 more tries if it’s not working and cut yourself off, move on. If you get closer then maybe add a try or two onto your 10, but don’t sit and battle tricks over and over and over. You’ll just develop bad habits. Take a break from it and come back another day.
i agree BUT i think if someone really wants to be progressing in skating, they should just keep going on the trick they want to do sadly. currently i'm also just moving on if a trick isn't working out but it's been a while since i learned something new. i used to learn a new trick like every day before i changed that habit of sticking to one trick and not going home till i do it.
I agree about doing Ollie’s into noseslides, I struggle so bad with them it’s like the trick is too good to be true but nollie into noseslide are easier for sure.
as a native texan skater this is so true somtimes you can only skate the park one way because of the wind its even worse down here in houston near the gulf.
"Texas wind" You would love England's rain X). I used to live close to one of the World capitals of wind, where the wind surfers go for the world cups again and again. Pushing against the wind to reach an spot is pure fun and the best part, once there you try to ollie and your board literally flies away from you. flip tricks are not possible.
Yo man sometimes you just gotta let it out man, let it out and try it again if you want. Sometimes you gotta blow off some steam, even the things you love can make you upset or mad
me and my homies where the people at the park so good meeting you man i’ve been watching since brail days feels like i’ve grown up with your videos😂 such good vibes and entertaining as hell watching you battle that trick man hope you see you again at lake worth or something🫡🤝💯
No need to be sorry brother. Frustration is a part of being a human being. Not one person on this earth can say they've never been frustrated or still don't get frustrated with anything in existence. You handled this hella good if anyone were to ever ask me. 😅
@John I don’t know if I’m just 10 years behind on what tricks are cool - but I would love to see a good ‘ol hard flip make it into your iPhone note trick list… maybe sneak a back 180 in with it?!? 🙏
slope or park. i go to the early session so park not as bad but know body likes to get yelled at so i stopped being that guy. plenty of others to bee 'that guy" limitless variations on the theme so people watching can bee phuin. i usually just yell at myself now '
If You believe in Your Heart That Jesus Died On The Cross And Rose again On The Third Day And Confess With Your Mouth That Jesus Is Lord then you Will Be Saved
throwing your board and screaming is top tier cringe. its a shared space and making people uncomfortable just cause u wanna land your trick is so selfish and gross. its not something you “work on” your over 30 and an adult. hold yourself accountable and stop doing it bud.
