Damm just completed watching all of the 35 videos. wish me luck for tomorrow's exam and thank you, Mr. Andersen. god, bless this legendary soul of science guy.....
I got a 3 but this helped a lot a lot of teens and concepts I hadn't learned in class were shown within this playlist. Why I received a three is that i didn't include certain terms within my FRQ's but only described them.
Just completed watching your playlist. I'll be taking the AP test tomorrow and I just wanted to thank you for sharing your enlightening videos. They've helped me get through self studying this course!
I've done it! I've reached the end. Thank you so much! I've been studying on and off for about a month but this was by far the most helpful thing I have come across. Aiming for at least a 4. Now to go practice FRQs and APES math
Nice video. Though, one comment I have is that when you talked about the value of biodiversity, you focused on the value of biodiversity to humans, as opposed to its intrinsic value. I would say that even if we lived in a hypothetical world where humans would not be negatively affected by the extinction of almost all other life on the planet, this extinction would still be a very bad thing.
+Physics Videos by Eugene Khutoryansky The general idea is that biodiversity is negatively impacted by humans through pollution, deforestation, etc., and that this is exacerbated the longer we exist on this planet. Although this extinction would still be terrible, it (the biodiversity) would eventually replenish itself, whereas us humans are causing environmental changes at such a large scale that there is simply not enough time for certain living organisms to adapt to changes in the environment.
Thank you for this comment. I was thinking about this as well. This human centric approach to life is understandable because this is how we can sell it to general public. People start paying attention to environmental issues more if we can show how it can harm them. But I believe most people do feel sorry for the suffering we are causing to other animals. We are, for the most part, compassionate creatures that value all life regardless of its usefulness to us.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, MR. ANDERSON! All of the 35 videos under this series is very helpful :) Just what I needed to refresh my memory for an upcoming major exam! :)
Mr. Anderson, you were biology teacher last year. All my teacher would do is play your videos for lessons. still got an A! thanks a bunch and keep up the good work.
I just wanted to sincerely say thank you. I'm not a high school student but took these to get a better understanding of the environment for a university course I'm starting. You have really done an amazing job and I hope you know that you are making a positive impact.
Solar draws the earth closer like a magnet. Indians working for money. People not understanding the good that the creatures like 'bugs, & all the natures that really do help all the earth. We are just as smashed. We can stop it. Thank goodness. I love your teaching. Your so amazing🐈
Hi Mr Anderson!!! Your lectures are just immensely helpful and amazing as usual :) Still waiting for more env science vids since I have a test upcoming this May.. Students like me are always here supporting you! Thanks always for your fantastic vids
Thank you so much Mr. Anderson for your great videos covering this this AP Environmental Science course. I am taking a test in few days and I went through all of the videos. I really enjoyed them all and I hope they help me scoring high on my test. Thank you once again for making your videos public so any one specially someone like in Pakistan can also benefit from it.
