LOST 1x01 - Pilot Part 1 - Reaction! 

As far as the "ending spoilers" are concerned. Don't sweat it. Many people back then, and even now, misinterpret the ending. What you heard may very well be incorrect. We'll deal with the ending when we get there. In the meantime, just enjoy the characters and their awesome journey. I'm super excited to see the three of you experience the show together, especially since you have the "lived on Hawaii" aspect to it. How many locations will you guys recognize as we roll along? 👍🤘😉

You think you may know the ending . . . But many have been wrong before. “You think you know, but you have no idea”

Being spoiled the finale, in words, is nothing compared to watching the show through. It's super intricate. So that much info can't really get summed up. Also, people can have very different opinions about the end. And you could have gotten incorrect info. So I wouldn't worry about whatever you were spoiled with. Just keep an open mind and you'll do great.

I don't think you necessarily got spoiled with the ending. The ending of the show isn't super easy to understand, and you need to know a lot of the context of the later seasons to get it. It's not something that can be spoiled in one sentence. A lot of people also misinterpret the ending, so I think there is a good chance that the "spoiler" you heard is not even true

I've watched this series probably 4 or 5 times in its entirety. It's a great show. First season is amazing.

I wasn't interested in watching it at first but, my family was always watching it and I'd see some and ask questions and after 3 seasons of that my sister refused to answer any more of my questions and made me watch it myself..

I love seeing people returning to Lost after 20 years and loving it.

I honestly think this is the greatest Pilot episode of any television show ever. It's so good. The whole show is great, enjoy the journey!

FYI, the plane crash was filmed on Mokule’ia Beach, and the banyan trees are likely the ones near Kawela bay (not 100% sure, but they did film there may times through the years). And regarding someone spoiling the ending for you...MANY people are 100% wrong about the ending, so you may or may not have been told the correct ending. Glad to see you guys doing this!

If the spoiler ending that you were told is that they all were dead....thats a horrible misunderstanding of the entire series.

Beach scenes in Season One were filmed on North Shore (Mokuleia Beach)...near Kawaihapai Airfield. They must have done a lot of work in post production removing power lines, etc since the highway is right on the other side of the trees. :) When they filmed the pilot episode, multiple drivers called 911 because they saw the "wreckage" on the beach and thought an actual plane had crashed. I am not from Oahu but when I visited in 2013, I was shocked how close the beach was to both the highway and to other filming locations that I cant mention right now. :)

The worst part about LOST is you have to watch all 6 seasons at least 3 times to really catch everything. Most people won't commit that much time to a TV show, no matter how good it is/was.

And half the people didn't get the end. There what we call...dumb. its SUPER IMPORTANT to pay VERY close attention to everything.

If someone spoiled "the ending" in one sentence to you, It's highly likely that the spoiler is not really the ending. Because you can't really explain the ending of LOST in a single sentence and not even in a few short sentences, especially to a person who has only seen 1,5 seasons. If someone made you sit down and explained the ending in at least 10-15 minutes, then it's a different story and what they told you could probably be the real ending. I'm saying this because there's a misunderstood or misinterpreted supposed ending to LOST, that many people believed, which circled around after the show ended, which can be told in one sentence but it's not true at all. I don't know which category you are in but I hope it's the wrong one, so you can enjoy the show without thinking the "fake" ending and keep your inner suspense.

The plane crash set was beyond Kaena Point heading toward the dirt air fields where tourist planes and choppers used to be. They used a lot of the North Shore area over there because it was less inhabited and more controllable for the crew and public. The show hired locally to build and preserve the filming locations. The scenes in the cave with ‘Adam and Eve, were shot in the old closed down Xerox building. Oh and Vincent (Madison) is still alive on the island and doing well at 23 years old (161 dog years). There’s a scene later outside of PF Chang’s with Jin when it was brand new to the island; they made it look like South Korea but the Gold dragon statues outside were a dead giveaway. They also filmed a lot inside Diamond Head in the upcoming seasons. The waterfall scene is from Waimea Falls Botanical Garden (made to look much bigger and deeper). You’ll notice locations like that too as the show goes along, especially if you’re paying attention to the background for clues half of the time. Some scenes I can tell were shot in Pearl City (Peppertree, Harbor Shores), some were shot around the Hale Koa (parking garage, sidewalk rock walls and maintained plant-life in that area, etc), and of course the airport scenes. They did an excellent job at showing you only what they wanted you to see.

Lost… great tv show! My favorite next to X-Files. Seen all six seasons seven times over 😝 Hope y’all are enjoying it 🤙🏻

I think Yellowjackets is a current Lost-adjacent show. A plane crash, extended time in the wilderness, exploring trauma through the mystery of that wilderness.
