Decimate will only be unlocked once you finish your first awakening questline (after you finish more of the story and unlock tier1), so don't worry about not having used it yet :)
I'm so lost. All these guides just tell what skills do. Not what skills I should exchange for the default ones and what to focus on first. I love games like these but I'm horrible at them. I would like to end up with the demonic impulse playstyle but wouldn't mind leveling up with the suppression playstyle. I need steps to follow not a whole essay to read. This is not criticizing your video just a personal flaw I have. I'm casual like that. I still don't quite know what to do because i have zero patience with things like this. I do follow the story though not rushing it in the game.
5:42 you can turn while holding but not when firing, though you cant do a full 180 but small adjustment so you can hit your target if your off by a little bit

@@denimir12 if you play on demonic you are not very effective while human, so you need to focus on the transformation asap, ergo you need to concentrate on the skills that raise the bar.
I love playing shadowhunter and I'm really enjoying lost ark. I tried to get in to FF14 bc a lot of my friends started playing but it was just incredibly meh. The combat and gameplay in lost ark is so much better by a mile. It has been pleasantly surprising
can I assign the demon abilities to the hotbar? I wanted to put them in a specific order but it seems I have to USE demon form to be able to manipulate the demon ability hot bar. That seems unintuitive
u can use unlimited resources in training room (trixon), figure out what order u want and assign them once next time u go into ur demon form outside the training room
Awakening is like #6 on the list of engravings for demonic shadow hunter. #3-5 would be raid captain, sharp blunt, keen blunt weapon. Happy shadowhunting!!!

I've been having a lot of issues lately staying alive during raids with my shadowhunter build. I am a fairly fresh (about two weeks in) lvl 50 and am currently equipment lvl 540. Any suggestions you might have for me would be most welcome Fex. Thanks.
Shadowhunter is Not so Good at endgame would rather Play a pala or sorceress :) but if u would Stick to assasin you should Go for deathblade if you also Look for good pvp:)
@@lucretia6662 It’s a guide quest (Purple Icon Quest), it should have “Awakening” in the title. I believe it should just pop up once you’ve progressed enough
Assassina need a giant scythe advanced class. A bit more AoE, and go with a blood theme instead of shadows. If this exists in the eastern version of the game im sorry. Lol.
hey i was thinking about running hallucination (lvl2 = 25% crit rate) + (30% from DI) with crit sub stat giving roughly 20% crit rate and ditching adrenaline and go DI/Grudge/Cursed Doll/Hit Master/KBW for engravings... do you think its a good idea? i would get around 75% crit rate. thanks for your feedback!
Excellent video. Tells you everything you need to know. Primary stats. Where to put engravings. Some people need their hands held ig based on this comments section.
You mention Demonic Slash increasing your attack/move speed when you hit enemies with it. But from what I’m seeing the “numbing effect” tripod applies a attack/move speed debuff to the enemy. Am I reading it wrong?
yes but the duration and the meter charge of demon form heavily rely on specialization and you need at least level 2 demonic impulse engraving to get the 15% crit rate. level 3 is better cause 30% crit rate. in t1 and t2 you can't have high specialization so the demon form don't last very long. you need high specialization for duration and to charge the meter fast(over 1,000), tripod in skills that give bonus to charge, and wealth runes that give 10-40% charge(10% for each higher rank). if you go with demon form the stats you need is critical+specialization in necklace and everything else specialization. in t1 demon form is not viable, in t2 it's semi viable(it lacks duration cause low specialization), and in t3 is at it's best cause you can have very high specialization to stay in demon form for more than 20 seconds
@@Raiju-tn8pr it 100 percent is viable ive been running it the same time, crushing mvps most of the time, though you are right is noticably better in t2 and I can only imagine how killer it will be in T3

when you upgrade your skills choose the upgrades that has to do with shadowburst meter gain, also after your demon transformation wears off you cant regenerate the meter for 30 seconds. This limitation disappears after you hit 50 and choose the demonic impulse clash engraving
@@blondehaywire6119 not for me, I hate and find melee classes boring except shadow hunter ( demon), my favorite three classes are summoner, artillerist, and shadowhunter.
OK, this is me saying hey I suck and would have liked a tighter guide, like hey I suggest these 8-9 skills and this is how you become a demon fastest. Now having said that it is still my current desire. But, with the engravings, being always a demon sounds cool, but so does the idea of always being a human and just doing all the human things better. LOL, I think I just busted the idea of having just 9 skills and being told how to use them the best :) Still, being new and being knocked down like was it 3 or maybe 4 times in the city of the salt flats and having to kill a demon boss not once, or twice, or even three times but 4 times, wow. I want to say by round 4 I was a little better, but I'm not really sure I even agree, and I used my demon form just to get to the demon fight. Anyway, I hope I can take the skills and tips shared here to get excited and get back in.

a little confused with the attacks you have since im still early in the game. how do you have so many special attacks. Im pretty much using this build but only have 8 special attack slots to use.
Striker, Wardancer, and Scrapper don't have an identity. they lack an actual identity skill and you just cast skills from the skill bar like any other class.
demonic you mean demon form? if yes then you will need intrusion skills cause they have tripod that charge the demon form meter faster, and you only use the skills in human form to charge the meter to go in demon form. the skills in human form are not the main skills.
Can anyone answer this for me? It's oddly specific, but I'm wondering why in this video the demon form has long white hair? i started playing Shadowhunter expecting that, but my demon form doesn't have it?
There are far more points used here than you have at lvl 50 & more abilities than we have slots.. This isn't so much a "build" as "Things you will want to max, if you use them", surely?
Suppression literally outright disables your ability to transform? That’s so obnoxious. I’d much rather use that one than focus on the transformation but you’re gonna take away my ability to use something outright? How awful
You cant benefit from Demonic Impulse properly unless you have it at as a lvl 2 engraving, so its not like you can use it out the gate, youll have to grind for the uncommon and rare books for it (or buy them if youre lazy), while suppression is viable for you at lvl 1. It disables your transformation but all your abilities do way more damage since theyll use the demonic gauge to essentially “buff” your abilities. If look on KR servers theres no clear cut class engraving thats better than the other.
