I'm going to use this comment for guide corrections as well as answering frequently asked questions. [Dec. 21, 2021] CORRECTION #1: At 08:27, Sharp Blunt is not supposed to be in that T3 Reflux build. That was supposed to be Cursed Doll but I didn't replace it when I was screen capping the engravings in Trixion. It's a great engraving for critical-based classes, but NOT for ones that have built-in critical damage tripods. To explain it more clearly, taking a 16% global damage increased from Cursed Doll's 16% Attack Power increase is more powerful than +50% Critical Damage from Sharp Blunt, as level 5 tripods in T3 can go upwards of +200% Critical Damage already, meaning the extra 50% would only account for an ~11% damage increase in a 100% crit chance environment (in addition to a chance of -20% damage penalty, small as it may be). [Jan.14 2022] HOW TO BUILD CASTING REFLUX: If you want to play the casting version of Reflux, replace the 2nd row tripod in Scourge to the 2nd tripod (tripods: 2-2-2). Replace Grand Tsunami with Great Fire (tripods: 2-3-2). Replace Reverse Gravity with Doomsday (tripods: 2-2-2). Change Ice Arrow tripod 1st row to cooldown reduction (tripods: 3-1-1). Change Cold Call tripods to cooldown reduction and critical damage (tripods: 2-2-2). The engraving Fast Speed is a necessity on this build. [Jan.14 2022] NOTE: A full written guide with additional information will be published on Maxroll before launch.
Would you say all out attack is more necessary than grudge for casting reflux variant? And your builds on maxroll the tooltips are completely different, does that matter compared to our version?
I read that high speciality (~1200) is required to play ignition, and that its best to play with no engraving but ignition skills in t1 and 2, do you agree with that or how would you do it?
This is one of the cleanest class guides I've ever seen. I walked in just trying to get a feel for the class and now i feel like I knew way more about the game in general.
What a chad, not only it provides with what you would expect from a guide, the role of a sorceress in a group, setting expectations, different build and core mechanics, advanced tips regarding skill usage (like using the cast animation just for the super armor) BUT ALSO provides cute fashion ideas at the end. If this isn't a complete guide, I don't know what is. I hope you make some guides on other classes.

I have a strict thing where I'm only willing to advise or make guides on stuff that I have a strong understanding of. Sorceress, Madness Berserker, and Scouter are pretty much the only three classes that I feel like I mastered, whereas everything else is just a loose understanding and only a few weeks of playing at higher levels (as opposed to several months). Sorry. 😓

Great guide, concise and to the point thank you for the info! I am leaning towards reflux. I know it is not the top DPS build and not currently meta. But I really love the idea of spamming spells on low cooldown as well as the mobility (I play Black mage in final fantasy 14 so I kind of need a break from the turret mage concept 😆). I just found your guide for the casting version of it so I'm leaning towards going with that for sure 😊
My first impression was: " Oh Sorceress is easy mode! It's just a mage after all" Then I made an alt Sorceress and quickly had a feeling that my initial impression about the difficulty of the class was SO wrong... The high skill ceiling of the charackter is what you showed perfectly in this video Saintone. Animation cancels, precise builds to MASSIVELY reduce CDs, super armor strats and so much more. T1/T2 engravings to start out: ignition fast speed precision dagger later on (T2/T3): grudge master of strikes cursed doll (replaces precision dagger, hold onto this engraving however) late T3 IF you still have low lvl jewels: precision dagger swiftness stat

Hi. This is my first mmo and first point to move game. I went with ignition because with reflux I often can't get my casting skills off. I start the animation and have to teleport away before they are cast to avoid the mechanic. With igniter I might not use it efficiently, but at least I'm always getting something out. For the "mobbing" loadout I only have the lightning casting skill since that is quickest. Also the crystal is the best skill as it stuns small mobs, potentially clearing 3 waves of them and you can stand in it and have enough time to summon your mount.
Thanks for your great video Saintone ! A few PVE Sorceress questions regarding the western release. I've read you were telling that reflux deals 85/90% of ignite, but we probably won't be able to unlock the real ignite at start, double doomsday per cycle, regarding stats and engraving needed to perform well, in this case is reflux better ? Then ,is switching from reflux to ignite later on, as hard as raiding in Lost Ark ? Or would it be better to prepare an alt regarding the other spec ? Also, i'm not sure if with ignite we can still use the teleport in case of emergency ? As you understood i did found my main, i just don't want to waste gold doing bad decisions, that could have been spared when kindly adviced ! Best regards !
@@xbb6408 hello i found answers watching Saintone stream mainly before release, and being attentive did get me all the answer ! So the choices i made, i started with a gunslinger as a main to go fast at launch and upgraded a sorc, blade , gunlancer, and paladin at the beginning; because they were all tempting me also i have to admit. Then when arrived in tier 2 i did switch main for gunlancer, class i didn't expect to enjoy so much ! i'm playing the blue build and having a ton of fun discovering the abyss raids. I also created 3 more gunlancer alt to be really efficient with that class and playing sorc, gunslinger and blade for the fun when i want.
@@dvdzvc Yeah.. also taking it to 7 for movement speed is nice. Sure, could get an additional skill for damage, but I much more prefer the bubble mobility + some survivability. "Damage is key, damage is key, damage is key" Sure to make said scenarios go quicker, but I prefer more consistent success rate.
Thank you so much for this amazing guide! In one of the comments below, you guesstimated that the total damage of the reflux build is at 85-90% of the ignition build. However I would prefer to play the casting version of the reflux build. Do you have any estimation of the damage of this build in comparison to ignition? If it worse than the instant cast reflux build in overall damage or why do people mostly recommend instant spells for reflux?
if u wanna go for casting reflux u need to get all-out-attack engraving to it's top so it's actually worth it, and then so u wouldn't be using one of the main reflux engravings such as cursed doll or hit master which gives you more dmg after all. So yh it's still playable but doesnt actually deal much more dmg after all. And in case u wanna go for big numbers just go for ignition build. Requires more practice and knowledge, and feels bad when u miss but is more rewarding to play :)

Was not sure which class to take until Reaper realeases but this guide convinced me when you were talking about the tactical playstyle of the sorceress which fits an old geezer like myself :) How adaptable/customizable is the pvp-build(s)? Large variety in skills or pretty streamlined?
Incredible guide, I just hit 50 and got my awakening quests done. I still have no clue what I’m doing lol. I’m not sure even how to do engraving or how it works.
basically your accesories do have engraving points. Having +5 on 1 engraving on all your accesories combined gives you the engraving buff on level 1. If you have +10 combined the engraving buff will be lvl 2 and at +15 it will be lvl 3. Now you can also equip 2 engravings in your equipment page. You can learn them by reading books. You will need 20 books of the lowest tier (the green ones) in order to unlock it. Once youve done that you can equip it to get +3 for that engraving. You can then read more 20 books (this time the blue ones) to get +6 threw the equipable engraving boost.... And so on, i think you understood the process Thats basically it.

Hey dude this is honestly the best guide i have seen out there for videos, websites etc. Is there a chance you could highlight a priority / skill rotation ? I kind of get the jist based on your videos and seeing how many points are in skills but it would be awesome just to understand for us oldschool wow people who are used to managing lots of GCD's and trying to prioritise them for optimal uptime on dps.
if you use mp eficiency increase and magick stream you can be unbelievably tanky with mana shield,i been able to survive hits a paladin shield cant handle while doing so,and even w the penalty on the regen w the skill in use,with both eff increase and macgick stream its like your constantly regenerating "hp" very fast while being able to constantly unload spells w never running out of mp.i cant imagine how good this will be w the set that gives mana regen too
