Until I Recoup (Glory I) from Lost Dog Street Band's sixth studio album, Glory. Available January 21st 2022. www.LostDogStreetBand.com www.AntiCorpMusic.com
She makes me wanna learn to play a fiddle..especially sharing my name lol but I been trying and can't seem to get it. I can play a few pixies songs on bass and that's bout it unfortunately
Thank you Ben for singing about the darker side of life and the struggles so many people are going though. Thank you Ashley and Jeff for making the fiddle and bass come together in a unique sound like no other I've ever heard. I'm anticipating the upcoming album. Sincerely, Thank y'all.
Lyrics - I won’t compromise or sign with the thieves I’m the underdog trash of the underground scene I only take pleasure when I compete With the knife in my back Outnumbered by three I’m on the wrong track hangin off the caboose I can turn all the chaos to shelter and food And I may not be pretty like all of you tools But I fight like a tramp and I work like a mule They say it ain’t easy I know that’s the truth The hard livin crown looks foolish on you & No I ain’t leavin until I recoup The glory I pissed away in my youth Im unloveable and I’m crazy and mean I’ve got hell in my eyes like I’m back on the streets They turned me away cuz I was unclean So I kicked down the doors of the Grand Ole Opry I’m trapped in a hunt that keeps me alive It don’t pay to be meek in the back of the line I’m desperate for something thats hard to define Like my name in the stone between Townes & Guy (Will edit if someone has corrections*)
@@STRESSLEVELCHAOS Meaning he wants his name cemented between Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark. Two of the staples of folk music. Hope that helps! I’d highly recommend checking out both if you’re not already familiar with them!
I cannot stop listening to this. I'm so looking forward to getting my vinyl copy. Ben is a legend in the making. I'm so blessed to be witness to his evolution as a songwriter. His lyrics really hit.
Hell ya! 21 January 2022 can’t get here fast enough! Always a great day when LDSB releases a new song. Ben and Ashley are my favorite musicians of all time. Jeff Loops is a phenomenal addition and brings amazing talent to the team!
The relatability this man can write. There are so many moments in my life I can reflect on while listening to these songs and yet I know we're living different lives.
Judging by the sub count vs views im going to assume yall keep coming back for more just like myself. Played this probably 20times already and imm still on the wrong track hanging from the caboose
Took my 6yo daughter to see y'all in Pineville last year, her first concert. She had the time of her life! She always asks when can we see lost dog again? Thank you for that landmark memory, I'll Cary that joy til I die.
I was lucky enough to come across you guys 4-5 years ago. I love everything you guys do. I haven’t heard a song from y’all that I don’t like. Props. Much success in any form that y’all imagine.
your voice man, it howls at the heart! and those fiddle chords ring like the wind in a storm! such beauty in your guyses power!! if you would, bring this tune back to tulsa please!!
First time I’ve ever been tempted to try RU-vid premium so I can download this for all day binging. Edit: everyone buy the album outright and support LDSB please…
To Nashville's most famous -I'm so very glad to hear my favorite performers working with my favorite sound engineer. You guys are great. I love and miss you all very much.
🍻 ldsb and you ben have helped me through alot, been here for me when i felt no one was. yall are a major inspiration and your words hit home. one day ill see yall live then life will be complete
I saw him play this song live in Atlanta. I had never heard it before but it was probably the best performed song that night tbh. It had so much energy behind it
So fucking good. One has not slapped this hard in a minute. Like a mule kick to the heart. When you get a physical reaction from music. Something is created and it's surreal to see.
Still seems like such a loooong wait until the release of the new album - Keep up the incredible work LDSB! You genuinely have helped me through some darker moments in life. Absolutely love all of your work solo and as a band. I hope you make it to the UK to perform one day! Black Deer Festival would be an amazing one for you. 🤠
I'm going to see them in 7 days at the Underground Arts in Philadelphia. Weather and covid pending.. I cannot fucking wait. Ben has saved my soul like so many others.
Dear Lostdogstreetband. Please play some shows in Germany since I don't know when I can come see you anywhere in the states. It's going to be one hell of an expensive fulfilment of a dream otherwise. Not that I would miss out though.
Sorry I had to do it. No one had hit the 👎 on this yet so. Don’t go getting fat headed on us Ben. We love you. Can’t wait for the lost dog album al-bum. See what I did right there^^^^ 11030
Hey there Ben and Ashley, I don't know what your intentions are as far as how big you want to take your music careers. But you have what I call (that just right uniqueness) that makes you stand out. I stumbled upon a band that is similar to your style about 8 years ago. They are called The Dead South. After listening to several of their songs and how they look. I emailed their manager and told him that they should go down to my home state and shoot a video in Tombstone, Arizona. I said, it would probably help boost their popularity. He said he liked the idea but at that time they weren't as popular and they are from Canada so getting the money, work visas etc was an issue. Maybe if your manager can touch bases with their manager and see if they can get you on their tour circuit. That would be cool as Hell. But I just wanted to drop you guys a line and say, you guys have what it takes to make it to the next level and if that is where you want to go, I hope you make it there. Your unique and original. The best combination to have in the music business. Stay focused and always stick to your guns. I wish you guys the best of luck and keep doing what you're doing. Your music is awesome. Best Regards, Art
