Larry I really enjoy your stories you are a wealth of knowledge. My Great grandparents moved to Arizona in the late 1870s Grandpa moved the family to Arkansas in 1952 I’ve been to Az. Several times because I still have family there, so all the stories you and the gang have told I have really enjoyed. Thanks agin for the share. My aunt lives in Phoenix she is 93.

Extremely interesting listening to you. My great grandparents were pioneers in Prescott, Arizona. ARRIVED IN 1865. Had a ranch outside Prescott. My grandfather grew up on the Dearing ranch. Their were several small mines on the ranch. I have always been interested in old mines. I also follow old lost mines on RU-vid. My mother and sister live in Tucson now. I visited the superstition mts recently. Keep up the good stories.

I believe in the Holmes story what the Dutchman did can't take it with you. People are like this they wait until last minute to do what they should have done months before they got sick. Lot of people don't even have wills they just don't want to think about their own passing when they realize that the end is coming they suddenly want to give everything away.

Hello again, It looks like you have reposted this video. I responded to the other video but I will do so again with this one. You quoted Clay Worst's telling of the Jacob Waltz "making his peace" with Gideon Roberts and Dick Holmes where Jacob revealed that he had made three catches of the gold ore he had dug out of his mine. That is all well and good but Clay Worst also told the story about how Julia Thomas was told about the board house or Matt Cavanass' place. You guys have even done a few videos on it. So what is the most important clue? The board house or Hewitt Canyon in the vicinity of Byous Butte? I don't see how it could be both? If one of the two remaining caches was indeed found in the neighborhood of Byous Butte then according to Clay Worst's testimony on the subject the mine must be nearby. (Jacob had said that if you find mine cashes then you will find my mine or if you find my mine then you should find my caches.) This would put the true location of his mine in Hewitt Canyon near Byous Butte. (I rule out Millsite canyon since it is a ridge of mountains over to the west and would have been difficult to carry gold over. Plus, that would make the mine not in the vicinity of the caches.) Anyway, if Byous Butte is the landmark closest to the mine then why would Jacob tell Julia that they would need to start out at the board house? Wouldn't it have been easier to come up from the south past Queen Creek instead crossing a bunch of rough terrain to get to Byous Butte from Matt Cavanass'?
