Love this game, to help with the set up I have all the plastic resources together and the compasses and coins together. I use the other side of the resource board that just has the art and just dump them on it.
Definitely one of my favorite games of 2020. Personally I still prefer Dune: Imperium but other members of my group who are not as big fans of that IP absolutely adore Arnak. Don't see either leaving my collection anytime soon. Great review as well!
I am really wondering how this game is compared to Dune: imperium. They seem mechanical the same, but maybe Dune is a bit heavier? But this board and art look amazing, a real eye-catcher. I bet you can get some people into boardgaming with this game 😎
@@jaapvanderhulst714 I believe BoardGameCo has a comparison video regarding the two games and Paleoamericans as well. Personally, Arnak feels like a gateway+ level Euro while Dune is slightly heavier with more player interaction. Both do a worker placement/deck building hybrid really well. And while Arnak looks gorgeous out of the box, Dune's Upgrade Pack is gonna be another 50 dollars or so.
@@Kolzberg ah, thanks for the info! But ouch, 50 dollars extra for a nice look is alot. Reminds me of terraforming mars and the component upgrade pack 😉
